Four school projects with a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND were built on abandoned land plots, reclaimed by Hanoi City. Up to now, the projects have basically completed the rough construction and are starting the finishing process.
Previously, the People's Council of Hoang Mai District (Hanoi) approved the investment policy for a number of public investment projects in the area, including investment in the construction of 4 schools: Hoang Liet Kindergarten at plot C1/NT3, Hoang Liet Primary School at plot C1/TH2, Hoang Liet Primary School at plot F4/TH2 and Hoang Liet High School at plot C1/TH3.
Four schools have been built by local authorities after reclaiming abandoned land plots from businesses.
According to the construction design approval decision issued by the Hoang Mai District Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), Hoang Liet Kindergarten is built on plot C1/NT3, with a total investment of more than 116 billion VND. Hoang Liet Primary School is built on plot C1/TH2 with a total investment of about more than 276 billion VND. Hoang Liet Primary School is built on plot F4/TH2 with a total investment of more than 251 billion VND. Hoang Liet High School is built on plot C1/TH3 with a total investment of nearly 310 billion VND.
Hoang Mai is one of the most populous districts in Hanoi. Hoang Liet is the most populous ward with about 80,000 people and 92 high-rise buildings. Therefore, the lack of schools and classes has become a "hot" issue in this locality. In 2022, thousands of parents had to draw lots to get into public kindergartens for their children.

The above situation occurred in the context of land plots planned for school construction being "held" by the Housing and Urban Development Investment Corporation for more than 20 years.
To meet theeducational needs of local people, Hanoi City has reclaimed abandoned land plots from the Housing and Urban Development Corporation and assigned them to Hoang Mai District to invest in building schools.
According to records, 4 schools have basically completed the rough construction and are entering the finishing stage.
In the photo is plot C1/NT3 with an area of 0.6 ha, Hoang Liet Kindergarten is being built. The project has a total investment of more than 116 billion VND, of which construction cost is 75 billion VND, equipment cost is more than 22 billion VND.
In terms of scale, Hoang Liet Kindergarten has 20 classes, meeting national standards. The school has 3 floors, including classrooms, learning services, toilets, parking lots, fire prevention and fighting systems, etc.
At plot C1/TH2 with an area of 2.4 hectares, Hoang Liet Primary School was built, with a scale of about 30 classrooms and functional rooms, meeting national standards. The school has a scale of 4 floors, with a total construction floor area of about more than 16,800 m2.
The estimated construction cost of Hoang Liet Primary School is over 276 billion VND, of which construction cost is over 196 billion VND and equipment cost is over 46 billion VND. After many months of construction, the school is gradually taking shape.
Plot F4/TH2 located on Bui Quoc Khai Street (Hoang Liet Ward) with an area of 1.1 hectares is also invested to build Hoang Liet Primary School. This school has a scale of 4 floors, about 30 classrooms and accompanying rooms and buildings.
The total estimated investment for building the school is more than 251 billion VND, of which construction costs are nearly 176 billion VND and equipment costs are more than 45 billion VND.
At land plot C1/TH3 located on Tran Thu Do street (Hoang Liet ward) near Tu Hiep bridge with an area of 1.3 hectares, Hoang Liet High School was built.
The school has 5 floors above ground and 1 basement. The total investment for the construction of Hoang Liet High School is nearly 310 billion VND, of which the construction cost is more than 228 billion VND and the equipment cost is more than 46 billion VND.
