The number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam increased compared to 2022.

According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the total number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City is 85,453, an increase of more than 360 candidates compared to 2022. Of these, 72,886 are from the regular high school system, 9,194 from continuing education programs, and 3,373 are independent candidates.

With the number of candidates mentioned, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training organized 156 official high school graduation exam centers and 5 backup centers. Each center has at least 3 backup rooms to handle any unforeseen circumstances.

According to the head of Ho Chi Minh City's education department, one of the most important stages identified by the city is the printing and transportation of high school graduation exam papers. Approximately 90 officials, teachers, and staff members have been selected and assigned the task of printing the exam papers. The printing area is subject to strict regulations ensuring safety, confidentiality, isolation, and is heavily guarded throughout the working period, with full security and fire safety measures in place as required.

In addition, due to the unique characteristic of having an island district, to ensure absolute security and confidentiality of the exam papers, Ho Chi Minh City has arranged a priority ferry to transport exam papers to the examination center in Can Gio district.

Regarding the coordination of the high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Le Quang Dao, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that the City Police had developed a separate plan to ensure security and order for the exam. In this plan, the police force deployed approximately 700 officers to coordinate and ensure absolute confidentiality and safety for the exam, from printing and copying exam papers to grading. Police officers were assigned to protect exam sites, exam paper printing and copying sites, and grading sites; and participated in escorting and protecting exam papers and answer sheets in accordance with regulations.

According to the plan, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has directed traffic police forces to set up checkpoints and coordinate with forces from the Department of Transportation and the Youth Volunteer Force to quickly clear traffic congestion in areas during the exam days, creating conditions for teachers and candidates to arrive at the exam sites on time…

The head of the Department of Education and Training added that the department had organized professional training for all staff involved in the examination process. All staff participating in invigilation must thoroughly understand the regulations and procedures for organizing the exam; ensure the exam schedule is followed, and ensure safe and serious invigilation. They must prepare all necessary conditions regarding human resources, facilities, and equipment for organizing the exam. Special attention must be paid to disease prevention, hygiene, food safety, security, and order.
