According to the Traffic Police Department - Ha Giang Provincial Police, after 9 days of ensuring traffic safety and order and cracking down on crimes during the Lunar New Year 2025, the traffic police force in the whole province has deployed synchronous and strict working measures, creating positive changes in people's awareness and compliance with traffic laws. Accordingly, during the 9 days of Tet, traffic accidents were controlled and reduced in all 3 criteria.

Specifically, from December 26th of the lunar calendar to the 5th day of Tet, there was 1 traffic accident in the whole province, killing 1 person. Compared to the same period in 2024, all 3 criteria of the number of cases, the number of deaths and the number of injuries decreased. Regarding patrol and control work, the traffic police force in the whole province organized alcohol and drug testing. Through the inspection, 173 cases of alcohol concentration violation, including: 4 cases of cars; 169 cases of motorbikes case. Drug testing for the team of drivers of passenger cars, taxis, motorbikes, through 36 checks, 01 case of a motorbike driver tested positive for drugs was discovered. Regarding handling traffic violations, the traffic police force in the whole province organized patrols and detected and handled 834 cases of traffic safety violations. Compared to the same period in 2024, the handling of violations decreased by 208 cases . Of which, 200 cases of documents were temporarily detained; 186 cases of vehicles were temporarily detained . Decision on administrative handling , collected nearly 432 million VND for the state treasury; Revoked driving licenses in 184 cases .

The main violations are: Violating alcohol concentration, speeding, not having a driving license, not wearing a helmet, carrying more people than the prescribed number, giving the vehicle to a person under the age of driving... In addition, through patrolling and controlling, the traffic police force in the whole province has propagated the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168 to nearly 2,000 vehicle drivers and distributed 213 leaflets to propagate the new contents of Decree 168./.
