Artists of Nhan Duyen art troupe perform T'rung.
The program brings to the audience profound experiences of traditional Vietnamese music , while contributing to promoting cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea.
The concert opened in a solemn and warm atmosphere with the singing of the Vietnamese and Korean national anthems by children from Vietnamese artist families in Hwaseong City. The “Nhan Duyen” art troupe introduced to the audience a rich musical journey through many unique performances, starting with “May va Nui”, a contemporary sound combined with traditional Vietnamese folk features. Next was “Trong Com”, a familiar Northern folk song, and “Giac Mo Nam” - a gentle, emotional piece of music. The medley “Ly Cay Da” and “Di Xay” evoked a rustic countryside scene, imbued with national spirit.
The program also created a profound cultural exchange mark with the performance of "Arirang" - a famous Korean folk song and the song "Beautiful Country", expressing the spirit of harmony and honoring the beauty of the two cultures.
The final part of the program ended with “Short Spring Song” and “Fruit Picking Season”, conveying the message of a bountiful harvest season and deep gratitude for the warm affection of the audience. In response to that encouragement, the Group performed “Tay Nguyen Chao Mat Troi”, which is also the first music video of “Nhan Duyen”, marking a new development in the group’s creative journey.
In particular, the concert had the participation and performance of musician Hush (Mother Hu) - who has participated in many meaningful musical activities in Vietnam and Korea. Sharing his feelings at the program, musician Hush expressed his surprise and pride at being able to experience traditional Vietnamese music clearly and professionally in Korea. He highly appreciated the efforts and performance style of the artists of the "Nhan Duyen" group, and hoped that the program would be expanded and performed in more locations so that more audiences could feel this happiness.
During the exchange, the artists of the “Nhan Duyen” Group shared about the goal of preserving and promoting traditional Vietnamese music to the world . The members - mostly Vietnamese artists living and working in Korea - regularly participate in performances, teaching and organizing cultural events to introduce traditional musical instruments such as the zither, zither, and T'rung.

Authorized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc, President of the Vietnamese Association of Hwaseong City, awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with achievements in community activities of Nhan Duyen Art Troupe.
Established in 2021, “Nhan Duyen” not only performs in major cities but also brings Vietnamese music to schools, cultural centers and international events to enhance exchanges and understanding between the people of the two countries. The group also opens musical instrument classes and cultural experiences for the Vietnamese community in Korea, contributing to preserving and passing on traditional national values to the younger generation.
The concert was attended by representatives of the local Korean community. Ms. Kim Iu Ri, Director of the Solo Open Space Center - Hwaseong City, shared that she was very touched to see the "Nhan Duyen" Group growing and organizing such a big event. She commented that Vietnamese traditional music has a unique feature with many plucked string instruments creating bright and clear sounds, very new compared to Korean traditional music.
The success of “In-Yeon Concert 2025” once again affirms the persistent efforts of the Vietnamese Traditional Art Troupe “Nhan Duyen” in preserving and developing traditional music, while contributing to deepening the friendship between Vietnam and Korea through the common language of art.
