Amazon caused a stir when it fired 14,000 employees and could affect 30,000 jobs, opening the era of "big layoffs because of AI".

Amazon's decision isn't just about cutting staff, it's a signal that AI is changing the entire structure of the labor market. CEO Andy Jassy once said AI replacing human workers would happen “in the next few years,” but Amazon acted much sooner.
Behind this decision is a fierce race with Microsoft and Google in the field of AI and cloud computing. Amazon claims AI helps the company “run lean,” but in reality about 10% of office jobs have been replaced.
Experts warn that this wave will quickly spread, as other CEOs use Amazon as a "social shield" for layoffs. According to analyst firm Gartner, by 2026, one-fifth of businesses will use AI to eliminate half of their middle management layers. This could send the economy into a “low-hire, high-fire” state, with fewer hires and faster layoffs than ever before.
Labor experts predict layoffs in the US could exceed 1 million by 2025, marking the most devastating reshaping of the modern job market. Dear readers, please watch more videos : Iris scanning tool to verify human | VTV24
