An Hao determined to build a new advanced rural commune

(GLO)- The merger of three communes An My, An Hao Dong and An Hao Tay into An Hao commune (Gia Lai province) not only streamlines the administrative apparatus but also opens up large and diverse development space.

On August 6, the 1st Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term clearly defined the orientation and synchronously deployed solutions to build a comprehensive and sustainable local development.

Focus on sustainable agricultural development

In the period 2020-2025, the average economic growth rate of the three communes previously reached about 9%/year. The agricultural and forestry sector still plays a key role, but the economic structure is shifting positively as the proportion of industry, construction, trade and services is increasing. The average income per capita is estimated at 55-60 million VND/year, exceeding the target.

Essential infrastructure has been invested in, over 90% of roads have been concreted; 100% of primary and secondary schools have met national standards; the rate of people participating in health insurance exceeds 95%; 100% of households use clean water. Notably, all 3 old communes have met new rural standards, creating a solid foundation for An Hao to strive to meet advanced new rural standards in the next term.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Ha, Secretary of the Party Committee of An Hao Commune, said: “We do not follow formalities but choose key, appropriate tasks and do them thoroughly. In the coming period, the Party Committee of the Commune will continue to focus on developing sustainable agriculture, building advanced new rural areas associated with creating sustainable livelihoods for people; improving the quality of cadres and party members and maintaining national solidarity.”

Synchronous development, caring for people's lives

The Party Congress of An Hao Commune for the 2025-2030 term is an important milestone, opening a development journey with a long-term scale and vision. The commune aims for comprehensive and sustainable development on the basis of promoting internal strength, preserving traditions, and at the same time removing bottlenecks in infrastructure, human resources, and production connections.

In particular, the commune focuses on planning commercial and service spaces in the area adjacent to Highway 629 - an inter-regional connection point, promoting the formation of residential clusters associated with agricultural trade, agricultural logistics and production services. The commune promotes attracting investment in developing high-tech agriculture, growing medicinal plants, forestry economy associated with natural resource conservation...

To specify the development orientation, the Party Committee of the commune identified 3 key tasks in the new term, including: Building a clean and strong political system; developing agricultural and service economy in a sustainable direction; taking care of improving people's lives, reducing poverty sustainably, developing culture and education.

At the same time, focus on mass mobilization work, promote the role of supervision and social criticism of the Front and mass organizations to enhance consensus and discipline in organization and implementation.

Party Secretary Nguyen Viet Ha emphasized: In the context of the newly reorganized apparatus, the Party Executive Committee of the commune will prioritize training and fostering young cadres, arranging cadres appropriately in each field, ensuring smooth and effective operation, better serving the people and businesses.

In the field of social security, the commune will drastically implement solutions to improve the quality of life of the people, especially in disadvantaged areas. During the term, the commune strives to meet the advanced new rural standards; 100% of households have access to electricity and clean water; the poverty rate decreases by an average of 1.5 - 2% per year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (a resident of My Thanh village) shared: We hope that the locality will continue to promote its strengths and have appropriate development support policies so that people can feel secure in production, increase income, and stabilize their lives.
