For the first time in history, a private school in Vietnam contributed approximately 50% of the members of the national team participating in the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad IMSO 2025 - a prestigious intellectual playground for 5th and 6th graders. This achievement has made Newton Education System the leading flag of the Vietnamese private sector on the international education map.

Newton – from overwhelming quantity to superior quality

Of the total 24 students in the national team, Newton Secondary and High School ( Hanoi ) contributed 11 outstanding faces, accounting for approximately 50% of the members. This is a record number, making Newton the private school with the largest contribution to the young intellectual force of Vietnam at IMSO 2025.

Not only are they "large" in quantity, they also affirm their quality through a rigorous selection process, passing many rounds of competition from school, district, city to national levels.

  • Math (6 students): Tran Nguyen Minh, Tran Quang Vinh, Nguyen Nhat Minh, Du Hoang Minh, Tri Nhan, Hieu Minh.

Long-term achievements in the international arena

IMSO is not Newton’s “first time”. For many years, the school has been known as one of the most prominent “bright spots” of the Vietnamese delegation. In each competition, Newton students have been in the strongest teams, often playing a key role, helping the Vietnamese delegation achieve high rankings and create a reputation in the international arena.

- IMSO 2023: Newton won 2 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals in Mathematics; 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal in Science - contributing all 3 Gold Medals of the Vietnamese delegation in this subject.

- IMSO 2024: 9/9 Newton students participating won prizes, including 4 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 1 Bronze Medal - the best achievement among private schools.

Not only successful at IMSO, right at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, Newton School also continuously made its mark in many intellectual arenas:

This achievement proves that Newton not only trains excellent students at each time, but also persistently builds a sustainable academic tradition, inherited and promoted through many generations. It is a testament to a solid educational foundation, where each generation of students is inspired, nurtured with aspirations and continues the success of their predecessors, to continue to write new pages of brilliant achievements for the school and for Vietnamese intelligence.

Integration values and future orientation

The success at IMSO reflects Newton’s correct educational strategy: focusing on basic science, encouraging research thinking, and nurturing international integration skills for students from primary school. This is also a testament to the close cooperation between the Board of Directors – teachers – parents and students, all aiming for a common goal: bringing Vietnamese intelligence to the world.

With approximately half of Vietnam's IMSO 2025 team, Newton has been, is and will continue to be the pride of the capital's education and the whole country. Today's achievements are not only the result of the students' training, but also a testament to a modern educational philosophy: " Every student is a future leader "
