"Plus, being sheltered under the shade of coconut and areca trees, the pineapples are juicier and more eye-catching. The above incentives help us manage our economy all year round, after the pineapple season comes the areca and coconut season," Mr. Tu added.
 
According to statistics, Binh An commune in Chau Thanh district is considered the capital of pineapple in Kien Giang, with a total planting area of ​​up to 1,200 hectares and about 1,000 households growing it.
 
In the Project on developing Vietnam's key fruit trees to 2025 and vision to 2030 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Kien Giang province was chosen as a key production area for two key fruits: banana and pineapple.
