Seminar on developing and connecting Quang Binh tourism products

Representatives of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the North Central provinces and nearly 130 delegates, including domestic tourism experts and businesses, attended.

At the seminar, delegates discussed, analyzed, evaluated resources, development potential and proposed solutions to develop products and services to form a sustainable, high-value tourism value chain and reduce seasonality for tourism in Quang Binh province in the coming time.

In particular, delegates discussed and proposed solutions for cooperation to form the "One Journey - Many Experiences" tour program between Quang Binh and the central provinces, green tourism products, nature tourism combined with learning about the diversity and uniqueness of culture in Quang Binh province.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu said that nature-adventure tourism is a typical strength of Quang Binh, so it is necessary to standardize cave exploration tour services; train professional tour guides who are good at foreign languages, have in-depth knowledge of geology, biology and indigenous culture to serve tourists well.

In addition, Quang Binh has great potential to develop spiritual cultural tourism, community tourism, resort tourism, and health care.

Vice President of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, Doan Ngoc Tung, highly appreciated the potential of cave tourism and eco-tourism in Quang Binh province. In recent years, the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club has coordinated with the Department of Tourism, now the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to organize charter boats to serve tourists every year.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Tung said that during this survey trip to Quang Binh, the club brought nearly 40 businesses to visit and experience, and all had good feelings.

However, Mr. Doan Ngoc Tung also suggested that destinations in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang area need to have more electric cars to move around the area; pay more attention to medical work and first aid to handle unexpected situations for visitors when visiting.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Tung also suggested that Quang Binh province strengthen communication activities during the province's low tourist season so that businesses can proactively organize to bring visitors.

Within the framework of the seminar, a program of signing cooperation, association, promotion and development of tourism products took place between the units: Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club with Quang Binh Tourism Promotion Center and Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Center, cooperation and development of tourism programs in Quang Binh; association to develop tourism in the western region of the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri.

In addition to the seminar, the meeting and connection program attracted the participation of businesses inside and outside the province, creating a forum for units to exchange, learn and establish cooperative relationships, and develop tourism products in the coming time.
