The North continues to have cold rain, the lowest temperature in the highlands is below 7 degrees Celsius. People light fires to keep warm on the sidewalks when the weather in Hanoi is very cold.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on February 24, the cold air mass will continue to affect places in the Central Central region. Northeast wind inland is strong at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4, with gusts of level 6 in some places.

The Northern region is very cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold; the North Central region is very cold, with some northern areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during the cold spell in the Northern region is generally 11-14 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas experiencing below 7 degrees Celsius; the North Central region is generally 13-16 degrees Celsius.

On the day and night of February 24, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri will have rain, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 70mm; the area from Hue to Khanh Hoa will have moderate rain, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 100mm.

On the afternoon of February 24, the Eastern Central Highlands and the Southern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 50mm, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind in thunderstorms.

Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas. Warning level 1 for natural disaster risks due to tornadoes and lightning.

Northwest

Northeast

- There will be rain and light rain, especially in mountainous areas at night there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3. Very cold weather, some mountainous areas will be very cold, in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

- Lowest temperature 11-14 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 7 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 14-17 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi capital

- Rain and drizzle. Northeast wind level 2-3. Cold weather.

- Lowest temperature 12-14 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 14-16 degrees Celsius.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue

- In the North there is rain, light rain; in the South there is rain, locally moderate rain, heavy rain. North to Northwest wind level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4. Cold weather, in the North there are places with severe cold.

- Lowest temperature: North 13-16 degrees Celsius; South 17-20 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature: North 15-18 degrees Celsius, South 19-22 degrees Celsius.

From Da Nang to Binh Thuan

- There will be moderate rain, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms; Ninh Thuan-Binh Thuan will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4, some places will have gusts of level 6, in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

- Lowest temperature: North 21-23 degrees Celsius; South 24-27 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature: North 23-26 degrees Celsius; South 27-30 degrees Celsius, some places over 30 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

- There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the East in the late afternoon there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain. Northeast to East wind level 2-3, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind in thunderstorms.

- Lowest temperature 19-22 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, some places above 28 degrees Celsius.

Southern Vietnam

- There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening, with some places experiencing moderate to heavy rain. Northeast to East winds at level 2-3, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 29-32 degrees Celsius, some places above 32 degrees Celsius.

Weather at sea

At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there will be strong northeast winds at level 6, gusts at level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2-3.5m high, gradually decreasing in the direction of the wind; in the North East Sea (including the sea area of ​​Hoang Sa), there will be strong northeast winds at level 6-7, gusts at level 8-9, rough seas, waves 4-6m high.

In the central East Sea, the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough sea, waves 2-5.5m high.

The western sea area of ​​the South China Sea (including the western sea area of ​​Truong Sa), the sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang has strong northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough sea, waves 1.5-4m high.

On the day and night of February 25, the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea will have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, and waves 4-6m high.

The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the sea area west of the South China Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa area) has strong northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough sea, waves 2-4m high. The risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2.
