Bac Ninh: Nearly 253,400 union members benefit from "Union Meal"

The 2025 "Union Meal" program was implemented by trade unions at all levels in the province from July 25 to September 2. Up to now, the whole province has 508 grassroots trade unions coordinating with unit leaders and employers to organize "Union Meals" with a total budget of nearly 15.4 billion VND taken from the union budget, businesses, and companies providing meals. Nearly 253,400 union members have benefited from the program with an average meal value of more than 60,000 VND/person/meal.

Authorized by the Prime Minister , Comrade Nguy Thi Tuyen and leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation presented Certificates of Merit and flowers to congratulate Comrade Nguyen Thi Bich Lien.

The grassroots unions have been flexible in organizing this activity to ensure it is suitable for the characteristics and does not affect the production of the unit or enterprise. In addition, many grassroots unions have also integrated the program with activities such as: Policy propaganda; rewarding and giving gifts to union members. In particular, the Provincial Labor Federation allocated funds to give 207 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances (worth 1 million VND/gift).

At the conference, delegates agreed on the results achieved; at the same time, frankly analyzed a number of difficulties and limitations such as: Propaganda, guidance and implementation work in some commune, ward and grassroots trade unions have not received attention; the rate of grassroots trade unions organized is low (508/2,216 grassroots trade unions organized, reaching 23%); some enterprises with many workers have to organize meals in many turns and shifts.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguy Thi Tuyen acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by trade unions at all levels, especially grassroots trade unions, in implementing the "Union Meal" program. In the coming time, in order to continue promoting the representative role, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, he suggested that the Provincial Labor Federation continue to direct and guide grassroots trade unions to effectively implement the negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements; in which, pay attention to supporting and improving the quality of shift meals for workers. Organize a variety of activities to care for union members both materially and spiritually; regularly grasp the thoughts, aspirations, lives of workers and the production and business situation of enterprises to have solutions to harmonize labor relations. In particular, continue to implement the "Union Meal" program, focusing on enterprises with many union members.

Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and representatives of Tapuho Limited Company signed a cooperation agreement.

At the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Tu Son Ward Trade Union, was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for her outstanding achievements in the 2020-2024 period; 50 grassroots trade unions with outstanding results in implementing the "Trade Union Meal" program were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation. On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation signed a cooperation agreement to implement a union member welfare program with Tapuho Vietnam Limited Liability Company ( Hanoi ).
