Vietnamese bread leads the top 100 best sandwiches in the world

The culinary website TasteAtlas has just announced the 100 best sandwiches in the world (Top 100 sandwiches in the world), in which Vietnamese bread ranked first.

At the top of the list, Taste Atlas introduces banh mi as a popular Vietnamese dish. In addition to sandwiches in general, some specific versions of Vietnamese banh mi are also on the list such as meat banh mi (ranked 9th), roast pork banh mi (ranked 29th). TasteAtlas's ranking is based on the reviews of 16,142 readers recorded as of March 11, 2024, of which 11,621 are valid. The purpose of the list is to promote delicious local dishes, arouse pride in traditional dishes and curiosity in diners who have never tried them. Banh mi is often enjoyed for breakfast by Vietnamese people. However, nowadays, people can eat banh mi at any time of the day. This is also a world-famous dish, having appeared many times in the rankings of the best street food in the world. Previously, in April 2023, CNN Travel also listed banh mi as number 5 in the top 24 best sandwiches in the world.
