Provincial People's Committee met to discuss solutions to remove difficulties in cement production

On the morning of October 24, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to resolve production difficulties for 4 cement factories in the area. Also attending were leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Currently, there are four cement manufacturing enterprises in the province with a total designed annual capacity of 7.7 million tons. These enterprises are facing numerous difficulties in sales due to decreased domestic demand, barriers in the export market, fluctuating input costs related to coal, electricity, and fuel prices, and current production and business performance not yet meeting the 2025 plan…

The units proposed that the province support the removal of difficulties in administrative procedures related to land and minerals; research support for businesses receiving household waste and processing excavated soil and rock from public investment projects that lack disposal sites; and support for cement consumption…

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Project Management Boards to support the four cement manufacturing enterprises in completing the procedures to be able to use household waste and waste materials in the implementation of public investment projects according to the circular economy model in accordance with regulations…

The Department of Construction reviews investment projects, both within and outside the budget, to enable cement businesses in the area to access, introduce, and sell commercial cement products manufactured locally…

Based on the designed capacity and consumption potential, the comrade suggested that businesses increase production output in the remaining months of the year to ensure the province's GRDP growth plan for the whole year of 2025 is met. Specifically, for the two businesses with cement plants on the shores of Cua Luc Bay, a plan should be developed to expedite the completion of the projects, ensuring a balance between the province's development and the businesses' own.
