The competitive atmosphere of labor to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day, May 1, is taking place at factories and units in the district, with workers working overtime to ensure order progress. At Phu Yen Shoe Factory, Ngoc Ha Shoe Joint Stock Company, nearly 3,000 workers at 3 factories work overtime 5-6 hours per week, helping workers increase their income by 2-3 million VND/month. Ms. Dinh Thi Bac, a worker in the garment workshop, shared: By working overtime, we are paid additional benefits by the company according to regulations, ensuring safety at work. We are all assured in production, attached to the business, and have a stable life.

Mr. Bui Manh Dung, Director of Phu Yen Shoe Factory, said: Ensuring labor safety is always a priority of the factory. 100% of staff, workers and laborers are fully equipped with labor protection equipment; receive regular health check-ups and participate in training on fire prevention and fighting. At the same time, in coordination with Phu Yen - Bac Yen Electricity, we regularly inspect, maintain and replace power lines, circuit breakers and electrical safety equipment. During the production process, the factories have not had any incidents related to labor safety and fire and explosion.

At Thanh An Son La Joint Stock Company, which specializes in manufacturing and supplying construction materials, workers often work in smoky and dusty conditions, with a high risk of work-related accidents. Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai, Director of the Company, said: The Company strictly monitors each stage of production, requiring workers to comply with the use of labor protection, especially in the grinding and kiln areas. Before and after each shift, high-capacity electrical equipment is inspected and maintained by technicians to ensure safe operation. Thanks to that, for many years, the company has had no work-related accidents.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee, said: Every year, the District People's Committee establishes working groups to coordinate with trade unions at all levels to monitor enterprises on the implementation of policies and working environment to ensure safety for workers. Direct specialized agencies to inspect and monitor enterprises and units to strictly implement policies on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, sickness and maternity; propagate and equip workers with knowledge and skills to ensure occupational safety...

It can be seen that enterprises and units in Phu Yen district focus on ensuring safety and promptly implementing policies for workers and laborers, creating a working environment that ensures harmony of interests between enterprises and laborers, actively contributing to the economic and social development of the locality.
