Mr. Doan Trong Sang's family, in Phung Son village, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune ( Gia Lai province) has 5 people. When storm No. 13 hit with terrible destructive winds, his house's roof began to be blown away, corrugated iron and objects in the house flew around, threatening the lives of family members.

At that critical moment, officers, soldiers and students of the Military School promptly came to take Mr. Sang’s family to a safe shelter. “After the storm passed, my family lost almost all of their property, but the love between the army and the people remained. My family will never forget this kindness of Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” Mr. Sang emotionally said.
On the night of storm No. 13, not only Mr. Sang's family but many other families had their roofs blown off and were trapped in floodwaters. Among them, one person suffered a stroke and one person was injured and was taken to hospital. Officers, soldiers and students of the Military School responded promptly, ensuring safety of life.

Immediately after the storm passed, facing the huge damage to property and assets, the Military School dispatched forces to the key damaged areas of Tuy Phuoc Dong and Tuy Phuoc communes (Gia Lai province) to help the government, schools and people overcome the consequences.
With the motto of helping people as a command of the heart, officers, soldiers and students of the Military School have not been afraid of difficulties, cleaning up mud, garbage, fallen trees, clearing sewers, cleaning houses, washing utensils, cleaning the environment, repairing damaged houses, reinforcing damaged structures...

Thereby, cleaning, cutting, and clearing fallen trees and billboards on inter-commune and inter-village roads 43km long; cutting and clearing trees fallen by storms with more than 11m3 ; cleaning and repairing roofs of garages and classrooms of schools with an area of 4,535m2 ; rebuilding houses to help 7 households..., the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc Dong commune awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in helping people overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.
Colonel Bui Van Khiem, Principal of the 34th Corps Military School, affirmed: “In difficult times, the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers always standing side by side with the people, not afraid of hardships and dangers, has contributed to strengthening the trust and affection between the army and the people. At the same time, it has left many valuable lessons for the Party Committee and the school's Board of Directors in education and training with the motto "The quality of the school's training is the combat readiness of the unit".
