Hai Phong Newspaper opens electronic editorial office and launches new interface Hai Phong Electronic Newspaper

Accordingly, in implementing Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee on the Digital Transformation of Hai Phong City by 2025, with a vision to 2030, since the beginning of 2022, the Editorial Board of Hai Phong Newspaper has coordinated with various levels and sectors to develop and implement the Project for the Digitalization of Hai Phong Newspaper in the period 2022 – 2025.

Specifically, the focus is on innovating the publishing process towards building a multi-faceted "convergent newsroom," contributing to affirming the position of Hai Phong Newspaper in the overall activities of the national press, in line with the development trends of journalism in the digital age. At the same time, it aims to increase journalistic capacity, presentation styles, and the methods of organizing online work and managing professional journalism through the electronic newsroom system…

According to Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper, the Hai Phong Newspaper's electronic newsroom project, with the attention, guidance, and support of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, the Ministry of Information and Communications , the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and other relevant units, has been completed on schedule.

The project, once officially operational, will create a new turning point in the operations of Hai Phong Newspaper, helping it gradually become a multimedia news agency and better fulfill its mission in the digital age.

At the ceremony, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, expressed his wish that Hai Phong Newspaper would soon become a digital data repository, creating value for people, businesses, and society; the newspaper needs to quickly advance into digital technology and apply AI to ensure the fastest, most data-rich, accurate, reliable, and accessible news for the general public…

Through this, Hai Phong Newspaper has been able to effectively fulfill its propaganda mission, serving as an important voice of the Party Committee and the people of the city, playing a leading role in guiding public opinion in the locality, and having a voice for critical analysis and oversight, becoming increasingly closer to readers with new experiences across multiple platforms.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong urged Hai Phong Newspaper to quickly change its mindset and adopt modern journalistic practices, master software, effectively utilize the functions of the electronic newsroom, innovate and further improve the quality of content and presentation, and produce more modern, multi-platform journalistic products targeting a wide range of readers.

In addition, we will continue to train and improve the modern journalistic skills of our staff, reporters, editors, and technicians to keep pace with the development of journalism nationwide in general, and in the city in particular, while also approaching the development of international journalism.

Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong also noted that Hai Phong Newspaper needs to strictly adhere to legal regulations on information safety and security, and the management of electronic media and social networks, effectively fulfilling its information and propaganda nhiệm vụ of bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines into life quickly, accurately, truthfully, and vividly. In addition, the Editorial Board of Hai Phong Newspaper needs to quickly complete the items of phase 1, evaluate the results of implementation, and promptly deploy the task of building the electronic newsroom for phase 2 in 2024.
