Cao Lanh District Party Secretary works on the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses

DTO - Recently, comrade Pham Thi Ngoc Dao - Secretary of Cao Lanh District Party Committee and leaders of the district's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee had a working session with the Steering Committees of Phuong Tra and Gao Giong communes on the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune.

In 2025, in Phuong Tra commune, there are 16 policy households, poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances eligible for housing support from the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Thereby, we have strongly mobilized donors to support 6 houses; Gao Giong commune has 22 households in need but only 5 households are eligible. Implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, through a survey, there are 55 households with meritorious services to the revolution in need of new construction, 191 households for repair and 179 poor and near-poor households in need of new construction.

Through understanding the situation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Phuong Tra and Gao Giong communes, comrade Pham Thi Ngoc Dao - Secretary of Cao Lanh District Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the active participation of the Commune Steering Committee, requested the commune to focus on doing a good job of eliminating temporary houses for policy families with houses and land in the area, not letting policy households have to live in temporary or dilapidated houses; pay attention to understanding the situation of households that have a specific list but do not have enough conditions for support to have appropriate implementation solutions, in accordance with regulations; need to review conditions, criteria and accurately count the number of households in need...

With the determination of the entire political system, Cao Lanh district has mobilized resources from cadres, civil servants, businesses, religions and people, and philanthropists of over 4 billion VND to implement the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. It is expected that by June 30, 2025, 120 houses will be completed, the remaining cases will continue to be reviewed and completed by September 30, 2025.
