Specifically, at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, during patrol and control, the working group of Tho Chau Border Guard Station discovered that fishing boat KG-93437-TS, captained by Mr. Ho Cong Lap (born in 1998, permanent resident of Binh An commune, An Giang province) (with 4 crew members on board) was showing suspicious signs.
During the inspection, the task force discovered that the fishing boat KG-93437-TS contained a light yellow liquid suspected to be DO oil. At the time of the inspection, Mr. Ho Cong Lap could not present documents proving the legality of the above goods.
Mr. Lap and four crew members confessed that the light yellow liquid was DO oil, with a quantity of about 31,000 liters, which he bought from a strange ship of unknown origin in Vietnamese waters, with the purpose of reselling for profit.
The working group drew up a record, escorted the people, vehicles and all evidence to Vinh Dam Port, Phu Quoc special zone, to continue investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
