Specifically, at 10:00 AM on October 27th, during a patrol and inspection, the task force of Tho Chau Border Guard Station discovered the fishing vessel KG-93437-TS, captained by Mr. Ho Cong Lap (born in 1998, residing in Binh An commune, An Giang province) (with 4 crew members on board), exhibiting suspicious behavior.
Upon inspection, the task force discovered a pale yellow liquid suspected to be diesel fuel on the fishing vessel KG-93437-TS. At the time of the inspection, Mr. Ho Cong Lap was unable to present any documents proving the legality of the goods.
Mr. Lap and his four crew members confessed that the pale yellow liquid was diesel oil, approximately 31,000 liters, which he had purchased from an unidentified vessel in Vietnamese waters with the intention of reselling it for profit.
The task force drew up a report and escorted the individuals, vehicles, and all seized evidence to Vịnh Đầm Port, Phú Quốc Special Economic Zone, for further investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
