DNO - On the morning of August 2, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang received a working delegation of Samsung Vietnam Complex led by Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex during the delegation's visit and work in Da Nang.

At the reception, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated and welcomed the visit and work in Da Nang this time of Samsung Vietnam Complex, including the selection of a location to build Samsung Hope School in Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, a volunteer project for young people and children in the area.
This shows a positive signal in the cooperative relationship between Samsung Vietnam Complex in particular and Samsung Group in general towards Da Nang city.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang assigned departments, branches and sectors to report to the Chairman of the City People's Committee to consider the proposals of Samsung Vietnam Complex as well as direct the implementation of related procedures to soon invest in the construction of Samsung Hy Vong school in Hoa Tien commune.
Recalling the impressions of his visit and work at the Samsung Group's semiconductor factory in Pyeongtaek City, South Korea in early July 2024 and the operating results of the Samsung Vietnam Complex in recent times, the Secretary of the City Party Committee congratulated the achievements of the group and the complex; at the same time, he hoped that the cooperative relationship between Samsung Group and the Samsung Vietnam Complex with Da Nang would become increasingly closer in the coming time.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang informed that Da Nang has favorable infrastructure to attract investment. Notably, on June 26, 2024, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the organization of urban government and piloted a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city, including specific mechanisms and policies for the development of high-tech industry, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, etc.
The city hopes that Samsung Group in general and Samsung Vietnam Complex in particular will study those specific mechanisms and policies and seek investment opportunities in Da Nang city.

Mr. Choi Joo Ho expressed his hope that the cooperative relationship between Samsung Group and Vietnam will contribute to helping Da Nang city develop further in the future.
Samsung Vietnam Complex is expanding smart factory development projects, including supporting a packaging factory in Da Nang to triple product quality and double equipment efficiency compared to before.
In 2024, Samsung Vietnam Complex will coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang city to select 1-2 enterprises to implement support for smart factory projects.
This year, with the launch of a product line applying artificial intelligence technology, Samsung Vietnam Complex is expected to have more development than in 2023.
