Chiem Hong Thai maintained his high performance to continuously win and be crowned champion. On the journey to the highest podium, the young player born in 1999 defeated experienced players such as Nguyen Duc Anh Chien (quarter-finals), Pham Quoc Thich (semi-finals, who defeated Tran Quyet Chien) and Truong Quang Hao.

In the final match, Chiem Hong Thai was behind but showed his mettle in the decisive moment to win the match. Before that, Truong Quang Hao was the one who took control of the game.

In the 16th turn, Quang Hao had a series of 6 points, bringing the match into the break with a score of 20-10. After 20 turns, Chiem Hong Thai had only scored 11 points, leading 11-20. But in the 21st turn, the 26-year-old player had a series of 8 points to shorten the gap to 19-27. At the same time, this series of 8 points was also a big turning point in terms of spirit and game position, creating the premise for Chiem Hong Thai to fiercely pursue Truong Quang Hao.

The final 10-point phase of the match saw the two players compete in points. In the 30th turn, Chiem Hong Thai officially took the lead for the first time, leading Quang Hao 33-32. In the 31st turn, Quang Hao immediately responded with a series of 5s to lead 37-33. Also in this turn, Hong Thai scored 4 more points to equalize the score to 37-37.

In the 32nd turn, Quang Hao had a chance but could not finish the match, scoring only 2 points to reach the 39-point mark. Chiem Hong Thai took advantage of the opportunity to play to score 3 points and win the final 40-39 against Truong Quang Hao.

Chiem Hong Thai won the championship and received 50 million VND in prize money. Truong Quang Hao, the runner-up, received 20 million VND. The two third-place players, Pham Quoc Thich and Huu Trong, received 10 million VND each.
