The "Coc San - Golden Autumn" mountain climbing competition is not only a beneficial sporting event, but also a tourism promotion activity, contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality, spreading the spirit of solidarity, pride, and aspiration for progress among the people of Coc San amidst the vibrant golden hues of autumn.
At the same time, it is a meaningful and practical sports and cultural activity to celebrate the country's major holidays, to celebrate the success of the Party Congresses at all levels, and to look forward to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Nearly 500 athletes from wards, communes, and sports clubs in Lao Cai province participated in the mountain climbing competition. The athletes competed on a 7.5 km course in four categories (men and women over 40 years old, and men and women under 40 years old). The athletes participated enthusiastically, delivering many exciting competitions and leaving spectators with many thrilling and vibrant moments.

A highlight of the race is that athletes get to check in at a centuries-old heritage banyan tree, pass through golden rice fields, majestic waterfalls, and peaceful villages, where the vibrant colors of autumn in the highlands are breathtakingly beautiful.
According to the organizers, the "Coc San - Golden Autumn" mountain climbing race is an opportunity to encourage the movement of "All people practicing physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh," while also promoting the image of Coc San - a land with magnificent natural landscapes, terraced rice fields, cascading waterfalls, and peaceful Mong villages.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 55 prizes, including 40 individual prizes (first, second, third, and consolation prizes in 4 categories) and 15 team prizes, to recognize and honor the sportsmanship, effort, and dedication of the participating athletes.
