The Editorial Board of Communist Magazine organized a scientific conference on achievements of 40 years of renovation.

Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Hong Son emphasized that the workshop aims to exchange and discuss in order to objectively and scientifically assess the Party's theoretical achievements as well as the results achieved and limitations in applying the Party's theory over nearly 40 years of renovation, while at the same time suggesting new ideas about theory and new solutions in the new development stage of the country.

At the Workshop, the presentations and opinions focused on issues such as: Clarifying the Party's perception of the socialist-oriented market economy over nearly 40 years of renovation, especially affirming that this is the general economic model of Vietnam in the transition period to socialism.
At the same time, clarify the shift in awareness of the objective necessity and role of the market economy in building socialism in Vietnam; of ownership and components of the socialist-oriented market economy; of the leadership role of the Party; of the management of the State and social organizations in the socialist-oriented market economy; of the operating mechanism of the economy and distribution in the socialist-oriented market economy; of international economic integration; of growth model innovation...

Experts also suggested new theoretical and practical points in the economic field associated with the current context, and proposed some orientations for the coming time such as: Enhancing unity in awareness of developing a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam; Perfecting synchronous institutions and policies, focusing on removing bottlenecks and knots that are constraining the production, circulation, exchange and integration processes; Developing a strong national business force associated with building an independent and self-reliant economy...

Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Le Hai Binh said: “With a spirit of urgency and enthusiasm, the workshop had very scientific opinions, assessments and exchanges. From there, we clearly see the whole picture and have faith in the leadership of the Party. The workshop also pointed out the achievements, limitations and things to do, which were stated very practically and specifically.”
