The 2025 Southern Region Chemical and Radiological Incident Response Sports Competition contributes to comprehensively testing and evaluating the command capacity, coordination organization, mobility, technical expertise and professional level of the entire army's chemical force, especially units stationed and operating in the Southern region. At the same time, fostering professional skills, training bravery, improving combat readiness, and being ready to respond to all situations of toxic chemical and radiological incidents.

Opening on October 31, the teams participating in the sports festival competed in 3 stages: Overcoming obstacles, fire fighting, rescue, toxic chemical reconnaissance; rescue, decontamination; AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1. After a period of exciting competition, the sports festival completed all program content, achieved the set goals and requirements, and ensured absolute safety. 16 teams from 7 chemical units in the Southern region contributed to fierce and dramatic competitions, conquering each step of achievement in each stage of the competition.

Colonel Tran Tran Van Chung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chemical Corps, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, assessed: During the entire competition, the athletes overcame harsh weather conditions, high competition intensity, always determined, made efforts to compete nobly, united; at the same time showed modesty, exchanged experiences and learned from each other. At the end of the competition, the organizing committee requested that the units continue to promote the achievements in the competition, apply the contents to training, combat readiness, and be ready to effectively respond to chemical and radioactive incidents in reality.

At the closing ceremony, the head of the Chemical Corps awarded flags to teams with outstanding achievements and certificates of merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the competitions and sports events.
