Due to the impact of heavy rain lasting from the afternoon of November 2 to November 3, many mountainous areas of Hue City experienced serious landslides.

On the inter-village road in Par Ay village, A Luoi 1 commune, heavy rain caused a landslide of about 200m³ of rock and soil, cutting off traffic and preventing vehicles from moving, directly affecting 114 households with 501 people in the village.

On the morning of November 4, the Hong Van Border Guard Station mobilized officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Defense Command of Area 2 - A Luoi 2 and local authorities to urgently level rocks and soil, clear the landslide route, creating conditions for people to travel and transport food and necessities.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of A Luoi 1 Commune, said: "During the recent flood, the damage in A Luoi 1 Commune was quite large, especially the rural traffic routes were cut off. The Commune Civil Defense Command has closely coordinated with the border guards, police, military and people to urgently repair and reopen the roads."

Not only focusing on mountainous areas, in the central area of ​​Hue City, working groups of Hue City Border Guard are also actively supporting schools that were deeply submerged in the recent flood.

Officers and soldiers were present at Quang Trung Primary School and Phu Luu Primary School to help clean up mud, clean the environment, rearrange desks, chairs, and teaching equipment, and prepare for students to return to school as soon as possible.

Ms. Hoang Thi My Le, Principal of Phu Luu Primary School, emotionally said: “The recent flood caused the entire campus and classrooms of the school to be deeply submerged and covered with mud. The recovery work was very difficult, but thanks to the timely support of the Border Guard officers and soldiers, the school has basically completed the cleanup and prepared to welcome students back to school.”

Currently, the Hue City Border Guard Command continues to direct units to coordinate with authorities at all levels, mobilize maximum forces and means, and urgently help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
