( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of March 27th, in Hanoi, the General Staff Department held the opening ceremony for the 2024 training course on dances for group activities. Colonel Pham Van Hung, Deputy Head of the Political Department of the General Staff Department and Head of the Organizing Committee, attended and delivered the opening speech.

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were representatives from the commanding officers of agencies and units under the General Staff, the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, and 116 trainees who are key cultural and artistic figures from agencies and units under the General Staff.
Colonel Pham Van Hung delivered the opening remarks at the training course.
In his opening remarks at the training course, Colonel Pham Van Hung emphasized the significance, content, purpose, and requirements of the training; he also requested that the trainees participate with the highest spirit and responsibility, strictly adhere to military discipline and the regulations of the organizing committee, and ensure absolute safety in all aspects; and absorb and supplement knowledge and skills to effectively apply them in organizing and guiding activities at their units later. Colonel Pham Van Hung also requested that, after the training, units proactively develop plans, organize guidance, and disseminate the five dances to all officers, staff, and soldiers in their units to promptly implement and serve cultural and artistic activities at their agencies and units.

The training aims to organize and disseminate new group dances to serve cultural and artistic events of agencies and units; create a healthy and beneficial playground for soldiers, improve physical fitness and cultural communication skills, and continue building the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new era; spread the spirit of solidarity, camaraderie, military-civilian solidarity, love for the homeland and country, and national pride, as well as the traditions of the Army and the unit, to officers and soldiers. During the training, trainees will be instructed and introduced to five dances: the Marching Dance, the Militia Dance, the Dance of Faith, the Dance of Peace , and the Young Soldier Dance. These dances were researched and created by military instructors and artists under the direction of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the revolutionary Vietnamese art and national cultural identity; focusing on collective artistic activities.
