According to the Food Safety Department, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health needs to direct medical facilities to focus maximum resources on treating and closely monitoring the health of patients, preventing serious complications from occurring.

The Food Safety Department has requested the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health to urgently investigate and trace the origin of the food to determine the cause of the poisoning and clarify the source of the raw materials and food suspected of causing the poisoning.
In the event that a bread vendor is found to be in violation of food safety regulations, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health must handle the matter in accordance with the law and publicly disclose the results to promptly warn the community.
Regarding the incident, Mr. Do Ngoc Hoa, Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health, said that from December 14th to the present, 105 people have visited medical facilities in the area for examination and treatment due to suspected food poisoning from eating Hong Van bread. Of these, 73 people required inpatient treatment at hospitals.
Following the incident, Hong Van bakery posted an apology on social media. The owner of Hong Van bakery apologized to customers and accepted responsibility for the incident.

The owner of Hong Van bakery also admitted to shortcomings in food control and processing that affected people's health.
This establishment has closed all its branches to cooperate with authorities in investigating and verifying the cause of the poisoning and addressing the consequences.
As reported by Dan Tri newspaper , since December 14th, medical facilities in Quang Ngai province have received dozens of patients suffering from food poisoning. These individuals stated that they had eaten bread from Hong Van bakery. The Department of Health has requested Hong Van bakery to temporarily cease operations to cooperate with the investigation.
Hong Van Bakery has many branches in Quang Ngai. Every day, this establishment sells thousands of loaves of bread to the market.
