Tour guide training

On July 17, 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province organized a training course for tour guides and interpreters in 2024 at My Quynh Zoo, Tan My Commune, Duc Hoa District. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended.

Attending this training course were nearly 150 delegates who are cultural and social officials of communes and towns; in charge of managing historical - cultural and tourism relics in Duc Hoa, Duc Hue, Ben Luc, Can Duoc, Can Giuoc, Chau Thanh districts; tour guides at historical - cultural relics managed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; tour guides at tourist areas and spots; and cadres and youth union members.

The training course took place over 3 days from July 17 to 19, 2024, taught by lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University. Here, students were imparted and trained in knowledge about design and content of on-site explanations; on-site explanation skills. At the same time, they had field trips, practiced explaining and guiding tours at the site.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh said: Long An has the conditions to develop tourism, especially eco-tourism, entertainment tourism, weekend resort tourism, community tourism, etc. Training and improving professional skills for tourism staff and tour guides at the site will contribute to introducing and promoting the image of Long An tourism. He expressed his hope that after attending the training course, the trainees will continue to spread and share the knowledge they have learned to their colleagues to contribute to the development of tourism in the province.

Through the professional training course, civil servants, officials, and tour guides will have more knowledge and skills to work, improve the quality of tourism services. Help domestic and foreign tourists to experience, have exchanges, connections, more feelings, and have deeper impressions of the trip when traveling to Long An. From there, contributing to the development of the tourism industry in particular and the general development of Long An province.
