BPTV in my heart

BPO - According to the provincial merger roadmap, in just a few months, Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper (BPTV) will officially merge with Dong Nai Newspaper and Dong Nai Radio - Television, with the new headquarters located in Dong Nai province. Although I know that it is inevitable, a necessary step in the process of reorganizing the apparatus to suit the new development stage, but for me, who has been attached to BPTV for nearly 15 years, the feeling of regret and anxiety is still unavoidable. This is not only my workplace, but also a part of my life, my second home, where I lived my entire youth with all my faith and passion.

I still remember clearly the first day I stepped into the station, when I was just a young girl who had just graduated with an English major, my hands were still shaking when I held the first news bulletin, my eyes were still bewildered among the equipment, machines and experienced voices of my seniors. Everything was new, a bit overwhelming, but inside me was a fire of eagerness, a desire to learn, to contribute to every news line, every program.

As time passed, I grew up with the profession, maturing in the same BPTV home. For nearly 15 years, I have gone through countless events and international news, from current affairs, politics , to sports, entertainment, culture, science... There were days when I had to read dozens of pages of documents to understand a problem, and there were nights when I couldn't sleep because a sentence was not translated completely. I gradually understood that this job is not just about translation, it requires alertness, accuracy and sensitivity to language. I learned how to select words to be concise, coherent and still retain the spirit of the original information. Each news is not simply a work product, but a bridge that brings the audience closer to the big world out there.

I love the feeling when the news I translate is broadcast, when I hear the emotional voices of the announcers convey the words I have carefully crafted. It is a quiet but proud joy, because I know that, even though I am just the person behind the scenes, I am still contributing a small part to connecting knowledge, connecting the public with the world .

I have learned many things from this profession. It is responsibility - when each line of news I translate can spread to many viewers. It is accuracy - when a wrong word can distort the whole content. It is patience - when having to sit for hours to look up information just because of a difficult technical term. And most of all, it is the belief that, although I am just a small link in the big wheel of television, every action I do contributes to creating common values. During those years, I was not only a translator but also a storyteller for audiences and listeners in my own way.

In addition to my professional work, BPTV is also a place that gives me profound lessons about compassion and social responsibility through volunteer activities. Over 12 years working with the Youth Union at BPTV, I have traveled to many places, to many remote areas of Binh Phuoc . The trips to Bu Gia Map, Bu Dang, Loc Ninh districts, the slippery red dirt roads in the rainy season, the nights sleeping in remote areas without phone signal, the smiles of children when receiving new clothes or books with the scent of paper... all remain intact in my memory. It is those trips that have helped me understand more about the meaning of the two words "dedication". It is not something big, but sometimes just a small gift, an exchange session, a tight handshake... but enough to bring joy and hope to others. From then on, I learned to slow down, listen more, appreciate what I have and continue to nurture the spirit of sharing in every little thing every day.

Now, as the days of living under the BPTV roof are gradually counting down, my heart is filled with a choking feeling that is hard to name. Every time I quietly look back at the familiar corner of my desk, the cup with the BPTV logo that has faded over time, the old notebook with a worn spine, the program scripts clipped into a book that I keep as a habit - all of them suddenly become strangely dear. Because they are not just objects. They are youth, sweat, smiles, tears, a whole journey. I think of my close colleagues who stayed up late to edit the program, shared the joys and sorrows of everyday life. I think of the hasty lunches to finish work on time, the heated debates that then burst into laughter as if nothing had happened. We are a family, in the true sense of the word, although not related by blood, but bound by trust and love for the profession.

In the near future, each of us will go our separate ways. Some will bring with them experiences and memories from BPTV to start a new journey in Dong Nai. Some will choose to move to a new job, trying things they have never experienced before. And there will also be those who will pause, to listen to themselves, to think and reshape the path ahead. Although each of us goes our separate ways, I believe that BPTV will always be a meeting place in the memories of all of us.

Nearly 15 years living under the common roof of BPTV, not a very long journey, but enough for me to grow up every day, enough for me to collect many memories and enough for me to feel proud and grateful for being a part of this place. If I could give something back, I would just like to say thank you. Thank you BPTV - the house that gave me the opportunity to live true to myself. Thank you to all my colleagues, friends who have accompanied, supported and shared. No matter what happens in the future, I believe that what we have experienced together will not be lost but will turn into memories, motivation and stories to tell forever. And who knows, one day, when I hear a familiar news report again, I will smile, remembering the time when I lived fully under the common roof of BPTV, where every dream begins with simple but loving words.
