For the past two days, social media has been abuzz about singer Dam Vinh Hung's allegedly tactless joke on a photo of the Director of the Department of Performing Arts, People's Artist Xuan Bac, and his son.

Specifically, Xuan Bac posted a photo of himself and his shirtless son, Khanh Minh (born in 2007), along with a humorous story about working out at the gym.

The post quickly garnered a large amount of interaction with 73,000 reactions, over 600 comments, and 165 shares. Most internet users praised Khánh Minh's appearance and Xuân Bắc's humorous writing style.

However, some comments were rude and vulgar about Khanh Minh's body, especially since she is only 18 years old. Singer Dam Vinh Hung even joked, "Both father and daughter are hot."

Therefore, People's Artist Xuan Bac reminded the aforementioned accounts: "Please comment in a civilized manner. You can express your personal opinions and perceptions, but please do not use inappropriate language. Thank you."

Notably, Xuan Bac's stern comment was misinterpreted and misunderstood as him responding to singer Dam Vinh Hung.

This content quickly spread widely on social media. Many internet users gloated, believing that Dam Vinh Hung's inappropriate comment led to Director Xuan Bac reprimanding him.

The story became even more controversial when the 70s-era singer secretly changed the joke "Dad and son are both delicious" to a heart symbol.

Singer Dam Vinh Hung has officially spoken out about the unusual controversy. According to his statement, Xuan Bac called Dam Vinh Hung to clarify the misunderstandings, and their relationship remains normal.

"She's still as lovely and sincere as ever! She called and said something that warmed my heart: 'Why did you have to edit the comment? We've been together for so many years... There are always people who only want to interpret things their way, even when the facts are clearly not as they think,'" the singer wrote.

Dam Vinh Hung added that he fears nothing as long as he doesn't do anything wrong and emphasized that Xuan Bac's comments were directed at a group of uncivilized internet users, not at him.

For his part, Xuan Bac changed the aforementioned post to a status that restricts comments.

On October 22nd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a workshop to gather feedback on the draft Code of Conduct for Cultural Activities in Cyberspace.

People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts - believes that with the strong development of digital technology today, culturally appropriate behavior online is not only a moral requirement but also a social responsibility of each individual and organization.

Accordingly, images, language, and behavior online all contribute to reflecting the cultural level of the user. If social media users lack awareness, aesthetics, and standards, this environment will quickly be dominated by inappropriate and offensive content.

Xuan Bac suggested strengthening the management of online service and content providers, and that there should be clearer regulations regarding aesthetics and cultural responsibility.

He also noted that when developing a Code of Conduct for online culture, attention should be paid to the aspect of "culture in behavior" rather than just general statements.

"Two people can perform the same action, but a cultured person will express it differently. Culture is not just an abstract concept; it must be concretely demonstrated through daily behavior, communication, and interaction," Xuan Bac shared.

People's Artist believes that every agency, organization, business, or individual needs to build its own culture in the digital environment, from office culture and corporate culture to professional culture.

"When everyone focuses on positive values, we will have a decent online space where information is shared responsibly and humanely," he emphasized.
