Speaking to VietNamNet reporters, a family representative said they were aware that some individuals were calling for donations to build a tomb, make offerings, and commemorate actor Thuong Tin.

Family members assert that they did not solicit or have any affiliation with any individuals or organizations that are currently campaigning for charitable donations.

Thuong Tin's funeral was simple and small, not extravagant, but attended by all family members and included the important rituals.

The actor's grave has been meticulously and elegantly constructed on his family's land at Hoa Thuy Cemetery, Ninh Phuoc Commune, Khanh Hoa Province . Family members are responsible for the funeral rites.

"The family's view is that they will do as much as they can to support him, without bothering society," a relative said.

They warned internet users to be cautious about information regarding actor Thuong Tin that does not come from official statements by his family, and to avoid participating in any fundraising activities to prevent being scammed.

After a period of illness, actor Thuong Tin passed away at 6:50 PM on December 8th, at the age of 69.

His funeral took place in a small house on Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Phan Rang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province.

After some images of Thuong Tin's funeral were widely shared on the internet, many netizens discussed the fact that the once-famous movie star passed away in such a cold manner, with no artists attending or sending wreaths (except for musician To Hieu who was present and comedian Hong To who sent a wreath).
