"Calendar Queen" Diem My expressed: "Life is finite. Perhaps that's why we must accept partings even when we're never ready. Thuong Tin's life went through many ups and downs. However, along that journey, he also shone like a star – the most precious gift for those who pursue an artistic career. At this moment, I believe that the most beautiful things in his life will remain with the audience, with everyone. That is also the most respectful farewell. With love and may he rest in peace."

In their younger years, Thuong Tin and Diem My were in a relationship for two years.

Not only were they a perfect on-screen couple, the film "The White Flower River" also brought Thuong Tin and Diem My together. In his memoir, "A Life of Storms ," the actor from "Saigon Commando " mentioned his unfinished love affair with Diem My. Meanwhile, the "Calendar Queen" admitted that she was the one who actively approached and courted Thuong Tin. They dated for two years before breaking up.
On the evening of December 8th, Thuong Tin passed away in Phan Rang at the age of 69. His funeral was simple, and few people attended. Before his death, Thuong Tin lived a difficult life and suffered several strokes.
Musician Tô Hiếu, who was closely associated with and supported Thương Tín's artistic activities in his final years, shared: "Around November 25th, I called to inquire about Thương Tín's condition, and his family said that he was no longer conscious and could no longer eat or drink on his own. At that time, his family also took him to the doctor because he had bedsores from lying in bed for so long. Due to his increasingly weakened immune system, he gradually deteriorated and passed away."
In addition, To Hieu said that during his lifetime, Thuong Tin loved his children and family members very much, especially his youngest daughter. Therefore, he could only rest in peace when all the family members were present.
