Helicopter hovering above U.23 Vietnam training session
On the afternoon of December 8, U.23 Vietnam continued to train on the football field of RBAC University. The weather was still hot, making the players drenched in sweat. However, the main focus of the early session was the helicopters constantly hovering overhead.
Coach Kim Sang-sik, the coaching staff and the players were all a bit curious when this morning the border between Thailand and Cambodia suddenly became heated due to armed conflicts. It is understandable that Bangkok has tightened security for the 33rd SEA Games.
But immediately after that, U.23 Vietnam focused all their efforts on training as there were only a few days left before the "final" match of Group B with U.23 Malaysia, not only competing for the top spot in Group B but also possibly having to return home early if they lost the match.

After the warm-up session, Mr. Kim once again divided the team into two teams to compete against each other, in order to find the most suitable team to defeat U.23 Malaysia, thereby winning the top spot in Group B.
Despite the intense heat of the days affected by the solar storm, the U.23 Vietnam players, though drenched in sweat, still played and competed with a very high intensity, no less than in real combat.
The good news is that at the moment, all the U.23 Vietnam players are in good condition. Xuan Bac has not returned to the main squad in the second training session, and is being placed in group B by Mr. Kim. However, with 3 days ahead, anything can happen.

The U.23 Vietnam coaching staff curiously looked up at the "iron birds" appearing for the first time since U.23 Vietnam arrived and practiced on the field of RBAC University.

Coach Kim Sang-sik jokingly made fun of the sudden appearance of these uninvited guests who made very loud noises.

It is unknown whether Mr. Kim mentioned the helicopters or not, when he pointed to the sky many times during the exchange before the training session of U.23 Vietnam.

Youngest son Le Phat hugged his shoe bag and walked into the training session. The young striker born in 2007 had a rather dignified answer to the press on December 8.

Xuan Bac's face is quite pensive, even though today he no longer has to wrap his knee after the injury he suffered in the match against U.23 Laos.
