Before restoring Zalo messages, you need to enable the current Zalo message backup feature. You should enable the Automatic daily backup feature so that Zalo automatically backs up messages every day instead of having to waste time backing up manually.
Next, you need to go to the Personal menu , select Settings -> Messages -> Turn on the Restore Deleted Conversations feature. This will help you quickly recover deleted messages when you accidentally delete an important message.
How to restore Zalo messages on phone:
Step 1: On the Zalo application, select the Personal icon -> select Settings as shown below.

Step 2: Go to Backup and Restore -> select Backup Now -> Continue . The Zalo message recovery process will be shown by a status bar indicating the recovery progress (in percentage %) being performed.

Step 3: Continue to select Allow . Then wait for the backup process to complete, then select Restore to restore all previously deleted Zalo messages.

You need to wait a few more minutes for the recovery process to complete. After restoring Zalo messages, you will receive a notification as shown in the image below.

How to restore Zalo messages on computer
To restore Zalo messages on your computer, you also need to enable the data backup feature like restoring on your phone.
Step 1: Go to Settings -> Data -> Select Export data .

Step 2: When the mailbox opens, select the content you need to export data such as messages, files, images, videos ... Then select the Export data command.

Step 3: Now the system will automatically export the data. You just need to wait for this process to complete and click Close .

After backing up messages, you need to perform some more steps to restore Zalo messages on your computer as follows:
Step 1: Select Settings -> Storage -> Import data .
Step 2: After the Import data and media messages window opens, click Select File . Open the Zalo message backup file that you created in Step 3 above. Click to select the name of the backed up Zalo message and select Open/Open .

Step 3: Next, select Import Data . Then wait for the system to restore the messages. The time to restore the messages depends on the large or small capacity you backed up before.
After completing the Zalo message recovery process, click Close and you're done. Now you can review all the content of the Zalo messages that you previously deleted.
