This is the second training session of the U22 Vietnam team after arriving in Bangkok (Thailand) on December 1. Coach Kim Sang-sik encouraged the players to focus on their skills to achieve the highest goal of winning a gold medal. The Korean coach wants all players to put in 100% effort. At the 33rd SEA Games, Coach Kim Sang-sik brought 3 goalkeepers including Trung Kien, Van Binh and Nguyen Tan. Trung Kien is considered to have many opportunities to take the starting position... However, if he does not try to prove himself, there is no guarantee that Mr. Kim Sang-sik will make any adjustments. Under coach Kim Sang-sik, only the players in the best form are allowed to play. Midfielder Khuat Van Khang is one of the pillars of U22 Vietnam at SEA Games 33. Having participated in many tournaments over the past year, Van Khang has also gained experience thanks to The Cong Viettel giving him the opportunity to compete in V.League. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his teammates trusted him with the captain's armband.
The preparation work of U22 Vietnam has been carried out carefully for a long time, according to VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu. To aim for the SEA Games gold medal, VFF has spared no effort in investing in training and international competition for the U22 Vietnam team. Pham Ly Duc is not only good at defense but also effective when participating in attack. This is considered a "weapon" of U22 Vietnam against opponents who play defense. Dinh Bac and Viktor Le are two other notable names in the U22 Vietnam attack. Both have the ability to finish and seize opportunities well. Experts say that if he is more "well-groomed" and disciplined, Dinh Bac will improve day by day and develop his professional skills well. He is one of the experienced strikers in the U22 Vietnam attack line.
Mr. Kim Sang-sik admitted that he was under pressure with the VFF's target, but at the same time, he said that this was part of football. It was the pressure that motivated the team to compete with the highest spirit. U22 Vietnam will open the campaign at SEA Games 33 with a match against U22 Laos tomorrow, December 3. The team's goal is to win to create momentum for the match against U22 Malaysia.
