Evaluating the match, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "It was the first match at the SEA Games so we were a bit worried. But then, fortunately everything went smoothly. U22 Vietnam completed the goal of 3 points and that is the most important thing. I think today's result is the result of the players' efforts. However, I also feel sorry about the goal conceded in the first half.

Because the two teams have met each other many times, we also understand more about our opponents, and of course they also understand more about our tactics. Therefore, in today's match, U22 Vietnam had a bit of difficulty defending."

Regarding the situation of reacting to the linesman's decision to raise the offside flag leading to the yellow card, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "Personally, I have not reviewed the slow-motion replay, but in that situation, I strongly believe that there was no offside and made a request. The main referee then recognized the goal for Dinh Bac."
