On the evening of December 3, the U22 Vietnam team defeated U22 Laos 2-1 at Rajamangala Stadium in the opening match of Group B of the men's football event of the 33rd SEA Games.
The highlight of the match was Dinh Bac's goal to increase the score to 2-1, which was not recognized by the referee and then recognized, leading to a tense scene outside the pitch.
Not only the players, assistant Lee Jung Soo was the first person in the U22 Vietnam coaching staff to rush to the linesman to protest. He reacted violently and received a yellow card from the main referee.
But the assistant's reaction was nothing to the head coach afterwards. Mr. Kim Sang Sik rushed towards the linesman very quickly, waving his arms and legs with an angry face, trying to explain that Dinh Bac's goal was valid.
Realizing the excessiveness of coach Kim Sang Sik, the main referee and the fourth referee immediately raised their hands to prevent the Korean coach from approaching his colleague.
The assistants and students immediately grabbed the teacher and urged him to calm down. Mr. Kim then received a yellow card from the main referee for his overreaction.
After the referee and the linesman discussed privately, the goal was awarded to the Vietnam U22 team. At this point, it was the turn of coach Ha Hyeok Jun and the Laos U22 coaching staff to react. Only after analyzing the law did the Laos U22 coaching staff accept it.
