Speaking at the discussion session in the hall on the additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2022; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2023 on the morning of May 31; delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh - National Assembly Delegation of Binh Thuan province expressed concerns about the ineffective education policy and the increasing problem of child abuse.

Delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh basically agreed with the content of the report on the socio -economic situation in 2022 and the first months of 2023. Particularly in the first months of 2023, the delegate said that the monetary and credit markets were basically stable. Disbursement of public investment capital was promoted. Delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh - National Assembly Delegation of Binh Thuan province spoke this morning, May 31.

However, according to delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh, frankly admitting that the economic growth in the first quarter was low, reaching only 3.32% compared to the same period in 2022, lower than the scenario in Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP (5.6%). The number of dissolved and bankrupt enterprises is increasing; the risk of epidemics, the shortage of drugs and medical supplies in some major hospitals; the situation of labor cuts by enterprises in some industries and fields; natural disasters, complicated climate change... continue to be issues that need attention in the management and operation of socio-economic development.

In addition to the above-mentioned shortcomings, delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh raised two issues that she has always been concerned and pondered over. Regarding the policy of the Party and State, our Party and State have put forward very correctly on educational innovation and economic development associated with socio-cultural development. However, in the process of implementation, it has not been commensurate and has not received proper investment and attention. This is clearly shown through the supervision of Resolution 88 and Resolution 55 of the National Assembly on the innovation of general education programs and textbooks in localities, which have pointed out many difficulties and limitations in terms of facilities that have not met the needs of teaching and learning; equipment and tools are still lacking. For remote areas, remote areas, and areas with ethnic minorities, the situation is even more difficult.

In addition, the local education sector is also facing a surplus or shortage of teachers at all levels from preschool to high school, most of whom are teachers of information technology, English, and ethnic minority languages. Therefore, delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh suggested that the Ministry of Education and Training pay attention to advising the Government to continue effectively implementing policies related to the development of education in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and areas with special socio-economic difficulties...

Regarding the issue of school violence and child abuse, delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh said that although the Government has given strong direction, state management agencies at all levels and sectors and localities have strengthened measures to protect children. However, the number of abused children has not decreased, and more and more serious cases are appearing, causing outrage and anxiety in society. Faced with the above situation, delegate Bo Thi Xuan Linh suggested that the Government and ministries and sectors must have policies and focus on propaganda, education and support for families to join hands to prevent school violence as well as child abuse...
