Lach Huyen Port welcomes largest container ship ever

MSC KALINA container ship of MSC shipping line docking at HTIT Port is recorded as the largest ship docking at Lach Huyen Port Area.

On the morning of September 23, TIL Hai Phong Port International Port Company Limited - HTIT (under Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company) successfully welcomed the container ship MSC KALINA of MSC shipping line.

MSC KALINA is the largest ship to dock at Lach Huyen Port Area.

MSC KALINA is a Panamanian vessel, 366.06 m long, 12.2 m draft, and 162,867 DWT. This is the largest container ship ever recorded to dock at Lach Huyen port.

The successful reception of MSC KALINA is an important milestone affirming the operational capacity, coordination ability and readiness to integrate deeper into the global supply chain of HTIT Port.

TIL Hai Phong Port International Port (HTIT) is berth number 3 and 4 of Lach Huyen port area. The port has a wharf length of 750m, a negative depth of 16m, capable of receiving 165,000 DWT (14,000 TEUs) ships and 200,000 DWT offloaded ships, along with a 250m barge berth to receive 3,000 DWT (160 TEUs) ships and an advanced loading and unloading equipment system with a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND.

This is a port operated according to the green port model - smart port, applying modern technology and automation. HTIT Port was inaugurated on May 13, 2025.
