Recently, some social networking sites have posted information related to sending seasonal workers to work in Korea with contents such as: C4 business visa, no language requirement, work field, basic salary and other attractive benefits... attracting the attention of many people in Ha Tinh.

Regarding this issue, Ha Tinh Newspaper reporters contacted the Department of Home Affairs to clarify the information. Accordingly, sending workers to work seasonally in Korea is carried out according to Resolution No. 59/NQ-CP, dated April 27, 2022 of the Government on continuing to pilot the sending of workers to work seasonally in Korea in the form of cooperation between localities of the two countries. Based on the Resolution of the Government, in June 2022, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued a document guiding localities to carry out the pilot with the contents of exchanging and signing agreements; content of agreements; selection, training, education, labor management, etc.
Mr. Dao Quang Hung - Head of the Department of Labor - Employment, Department of Home Affairs said: "Based on Resolution 59 of the Government and instructions of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (old), the department has proactively connected and discussed with a number of localities in Korea on cooperation in sending Ha Tinh workers to work seasonally in the form of cooperation between localities.
However, after a period of negotiation and discussion, up to now, Ha Tinh and some localities of Korea have not yet reached an agreement on some contents regarding the provisions stipulated in the cooperation agreement; have not yet agreed on the Korean employers supporting workers with insurance costs, medical examination and treatment costs, and return airfare costs when workers complete their contracts; have not yet agreed on labor management measures, handling measures when Ha Tinh workers violate the contract, flee the workplace or stay illegally after the contract expires. Therefore, we affirm that, up to now, Ha Tinh has not cooperated or signed with any locality of Korea in sending Ha Tinh workers to work seasonally in the form of cooperation between localities".

In recent times, information about working in Korea has been updated by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (formerly known as the Department of Home Affairs), and regularly announced publicly to agencies and workers in the province. To raise awareness among workers, the Department of Home Affairs recommends that the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns promptly inform the grassroots and people that Ha Tinh has not yet implemented the cooperation program to send seasonal workers to Korea; regularly monitor and grasp information from the grassroots, promptly detect and strictly handle organizations and individuals who commit acts of fraud, appropriation of people's property, and illegal sending of workers to work abroad.
Through job fairs and job conferences, Ha Tinh Employment Service Center promptly informs workers that Ha Tinh has not yet implemented a program to send workers to work seasonally in Korea. At the same time, it recommends that workers do not register with any organization or individual to participate in the seasonal labor program in this country.

Vocational training institutions promptly advise workers, students and pupils studying and working at the units not to participate in any activities related to consulting, introducing and registering to participate in the Korean seasonal labor program when Ha Tinh and localities in Korea have not signed an official contract.
If workers in the province have a need to go abroad to work, they should seek advice and guidance from state agencies. People should not easily trust social networking sites that post information about jobs, especially about labor export, without verification. In particular, workers should not ignore certain conditions and procedures because they want to work abroad quickly, which can easily cause disadvantages in terms of rights.
It is known that Ha Tinh is sending workers to work under the Employment Permit Program between the Government of Vietnam and Korea (abbreviated as EPS). This program helps Vietnamese workers have the opportunity to work legally in Korea in a number of industries such as manufacturing, fisheries, construction and agriculture... In recent years, thousands of Ha Tinh workers have been consulted, guided and licensed to go to Korea to work under the EPS program with stable jobs and income.
