Highway opens, number of tourists to Ninh Thuan increases by more than 66%

During the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the total number of tourists visiting and relaxing in Ninh Thuan province is estimated at 150,000, up 66.6% over the same period; of which international visitors are estimated at 3,000, up 50% over the same period. The number of visitors visiting and experiencing the walking street in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city is estimated at 22,000. Revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 145 billion VND, up 10.5% over the same period.

According to statistics, the number of tourists visiting and relaxing during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in the coastal areas of Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na reached 90-100%, other accommodation facilities had room occupancy rates of 60-90%. Although the number of bedrooms was about 4,686, an increase compared to last year, it was still not enough to meet the demand, some rooms had to be shared with guests.

The majority of tourists come from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, the Southern provinces, Hanoi and local people for the holiday. Tourist areas and spots have also been upgraded by units to be more spacious, green, cleaner, imbued with local cultural identity... attracting many people and tourists.

In addition, some tourism businesses are interested in investing and renovating many tourist attractions, contributing to diversifying tourism types, creating a spread and promoting the image of Ninh Thuan tourism. At the same time, they also build more tours and destinations for the holidays such as: Natural Paraside tourist area, Vinh Hy Bay, Hang Rai, Thai An vineyard, Cuu field, Po Klong Garai tower, Bau Truc pottery village, My Nghiep weaving, My Nghiep lotus village, Hon Thien mural village, Nui Chua community tourism area.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourists to Ninh Thuan increased during the holiday thanks to the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway being put into operation, shortening the distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.

Besides, tourism services in the province during the April 30 and May 1 holidays are being improved in quality and diversified by businesses to meet the needs of tourists.
