“Golden Opportunity” TV Bridge connects Hanoi, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City

The political and artistic television bridge “Golden Opportunity” will take place at 8:10 p.m. on August 22, broadcast live on VTV1 (Vietnam Television) and the national digital platform VTVgo, connecting 3 points: Hanoi Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Square (Hue) and Nha Rong Wharf (Ho Chi Minh City). The program brings the audience back to historical moments, continuing the aspiration to build a strong Vietnam.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission directed Vietnam Television to coordinate with the People's Committees of Hanoi , Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City to carry out the "Golden Opportunity" television bridge.

The 100-minute television show was elaborately staged at three locations associated with the nation's history: Hanoi Flag Tower - a symbol of independence, Ngo Mon Square (Hue) - a place connecting the past and present, and Nha Rong Wharf ( Ho Chi Minh City) - the starting point of President Ho Chi Minh's journey to save the country, bringing the audience back to historical moments, feeling the spirit of "Opportunities must be created by people" and continuing the aspiration to build a strong Vietnam.

Inspired by the poem “Learning to Play Chess” by President Ho Chi Minh, the television program consists of three chapters: “Must look broadly, think carefully”, “Resolutely and relentlessly attack” and “Certainly succeed”. The audience will return to the boiling atmosphere of the historic August of 1945, following the flow of 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland and seeing a Vietnam of today, facing a new “Golden Opportunity” – an era of development, prosperity and strength.

“Golden Opportunity” is also an opportunity to meet witnesses, those who have directly contributed to the glorious history of the nation. They are Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, a strong woman who made the world bow at the Paris Conference, known as “The pink woman dancing among the wolves”; Colonel - Hero Tu Cang, the head of the legendary H63 Intelligence Group; Colonel, musician Doan Nho, who wrote songs that ignited the hearts of many generations. Besides, there are also Mr. Pham Chanh Truc, Dr. Le Dang Doanh, Mrs. Ton Nu Thi Ninh - those who have lived and contributed through the changing moments of the country.

In the program, performing arts are fully exploited to vividly recreate history. Historical live scenes are elaborately staged, as if the audience is present in the resistance capital of Tan Trao, or in the bustling streets of Hanoi, Hue, Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh. 3D mapping technology and multidimensional stage turn Hanoi Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Square or Nha Rong Wharf into spaces that are both ancient and modern.

The highlight of the program is the music with the participation of Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, singers My Linh, Ha Anh Tuan, Trong Tan, Viet Danh, Quoc Thien, Pham Thu Ha, Pham Anh Duy, Ta Quang Thang, Thao Trang, Khanh Linh, Xe Xe, and young talents such as Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Vo Hoai Anh, Nguyen Hoang Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Minh Khoi...

In the program, poet Nguyen Khoa Diem will bring his most passionate poem - the poem "Country". In addition, the program will also feature excerpts from the play "I and Us" by author Luu Quang Vu.
