On the afternoon of September 26, the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Sound Songwriting Contest held an event to announce the awards. The contest was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). Author Vu Ngoc Dam won a double including the A Prize and the Sponsor's Award for the work Hanoi in the Season of Love, for which he composed both the music and lyrics.

Although born and raised in Hung Yen , Vu Ngoc Dam has had very good memories of Hanoi since he was a child. His father took him to Hanoi whenever he had work there, so since he was a child he wanted to study, work and live in Hanoi when he grew up.

"The image of my father taking me for a walk, going to Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake... is deeply imprinted in my memory. That is why I want to save beautiful moments, my own lyrics and melodies to give to Hanoi, to give to my loved ones.

I am extremely happy when Hanoi in the season of love won the highest prize in the songwriting contest Thanh am Ha Noi. It is not only an achievement but also a great source of encouragement for me to continue pursuing my passion for composing. Hanoi has truly become my second hometown. After 20 years of studying and working here, I have had many unforgettable memories," Vu Ngoc Dam shared with VietNamNet.

Hanoi in the Season of Love was written by Vu Ngoc Dam in the Blues Jazz style. He wanted to bring a fresh atmosphere but still depict the special beauty of Hanoi. The author depicts the beauty of Hanoi through the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, each season has its own distinct nuances, from the gentle spring breezes to the charming autumn sunset.

Vu Ngoc Dam graduated from the Faculty of Music Pedagogy at Hanoi National University of Education. He has many songs used in professional music competitions and live broadcasts such as: Cho tinh hoa ban, Loi ru que me, Noi tuoi tho con ve. Notably, the song Tay Bac gui ve anh was used in the final night of Sao Mai 2022 competition performed by Le Thi Minh Ngoc and won the championship.

Vu Ngoc Dam hopes that the song Hanoi in the season of love will touch the hearts of listeners, bring moments of relaxation and evoke beautiful memories of Hanoi.
