Possible solutions include: Opening more "hot" majors, exempting tuition fees, granting valuable scholarships and committing to 100% employment for students after graduation...

Anticipate market demand

Operating since June 2025, Global Polytechnic College (Thanh Khe, Da Nang ) launched its first enrollment season with 550 quotas for 11 majors.

According to Dr. Dang Minh Su - Principal of the school, the enrollment work focuses on two main groups: Junior High School graduates and High School graduates. The school deploys many direct counseling channels and online communication to support parents and students to understand their own abilities, career trends as well as opportunities when choosing vocational training.

“We set four goals to help students self-assess their strengths, understand their profession, choose the right school, and have a firm grasp of training methods, internship and job opportunities,” said Dr. Dang Minh Su.

To meet the demand for high-quality human resources, Global Polytechnic College has opened more majors: E-commerce, logistics, graphic design. In addition, through cooperation with universities and businesses in Taiwan, Japan, Korea and China, students have the opportunity to study and work internationally under the "study and work" model, and study abroad.

At Quang Nam College, the enrollment atmosphere is gradually becoming more exciting. The consulting team visits each secondary and high school in the area to provide information about 58 intermediate and college-level occupations with a total of 1,800 targets.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh - Principal of the school shared: "We plan to open new majors that are attracting attention such as: Semiconductor, multimedia communications. In addition, communication and career counseling activities are widely deployed so that parents and students clearly understand the advantages when choosing to study a profession."

Similarly, Dai Viet Da Nang College this year recruits 830 students, including 505 intermediate students and 325 college students. The school applies 3 flexible admission methods including considering high school graduation exam scores, considering academic records and direct admission.

"To facilitate students, we have increased the quota for considering academic records, and implemented early admission right after the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam. The school has also updated the training program, increased the practice time to 70-80%, and added many majors that are in line with trends such as automotive technology, Korean language, Chinese language, information technology, and hotel management," Principal Tran Van Anh informed.

Not out of the trend, Dak Lak Secondary School (Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak) also started the peak enrollment period. According to information from Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Vice Principal of the school, in 2025 the school will enroll 1,359 students in over 20 diverse training majors including: Information Technology, Construction, Tourism, Economics and Foreign Languages...

"To achieve the set target, Dak Lak Secondary School has diversified its enrollment methods since the beginning of the year and is in the process of hurried enrollment. In addition, the school also organizes short-term vocational training courses such as cooking and bartending, to meet the needs of students and the current labor market," said Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly.

Diverse support policies

To attract students, vocational schools have simultaneously launched many scholarship packages and practical incentives. At Dai Viet Da Nang College, students who pay the full tuition fee from the beginning will receive a 20% discount. Siblings who study together will receive an additional discount of 3 million VND. For ethnic minority students, the school supports a discount of 1 million VND per semester. In addition, many valuable scholarships of up to 60% of tuition fees, along with a special scholarship worth 40 million VND for disadvantaged students, are awarded by the Naval Region 3 Command.

"The school also organizes three-way cooperation between the school, businesses and students to commit to 100% employment after graduation. Thereby, students can rest assured to study and develop long-term," Dr. Tran Van Anh affirmed.

Global Polytechnic College also launched a 30% tuition fee waiver program for students who register before August 15. At the same time, many scholarships are awarded to excellent students, families with preferential policies and those in difficult circumstances.

In terms of training support policies, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh emphasized: "Secondary school and high school graduates who choose to study a trade will receive tuition support from the State from 20 to 50 million VND/course, depending on the major. In addition, they have the opportunity to receive full scholarships, support for bank loans and enjoy many other incentives if they enroll early."

In particular, Quang Nam College has signed agreements with many domestic and foreign enterprises so that students can work in the right profession with a stable income of 10 - 15 million VND/month after graduation. For those who meet the standards, foreign enterprises will directly recruit, create conditions for internships and work with a salary of tens of millions of VND/month.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Vice Principal of Dak Lak Secondary School said that regarding the tuition fee exemption and reduction policy, the school continues to implement Decree 81/2021 of the Government, in order to facilitate children of policy families and ethnic struggles to learn a profession suitable to their circumstances, thereby increasing opportunities to find jobs and soon stabilize their lives.

In addition, the school also calls on units and businesses to support scholarships for overcoming difficulties, about 200 million VND each year to encourage and motivate students to study with peace of mind.

With a series of systematic, synchronous and flexible solutions, vocational schools not only accelerate enrollment, but also affirm themselves as a reliable choice, opening up a solid career path domestically and internationally for students after middle school and high school. - Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly
