According to VNA and Xinhua, speaking at the Consultation Conference on the Right to Mental Health Care in the Digital Age, Brunei Attorney General Hajah Nor Hashimah Mohammed Taib said on November 3 that the rapid development of digital technology , especially AI, is posing new challenges in protecting children's mental health.
Brunei officials noted that internet coverage in Brunei has reached over 99%, and the authorities need to coordinate closely to ensure a safe and healthy online environment for the younger generation. The conference brought together representatives of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR), policymakers, psychologists, digital security experts and law enforcement agencies from countries in the region.
