Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports stated that as of February, the Department had approved the organization of two beauty contests. The rounds of these two contests will take place from October to December 2025.

Many beauty queens are actively involved in social work, creating positive energy for young people.

According to Official Document No. 2019 on rectifying the implementation of laws in cultural and artistic activities and Directive No. 274 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on strengthening state management over certain cultural and artistic activities, festivals, protecting and promoting cultural heritage values, and restoring and developing tourism.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, in coordination with other departments and localities, will strengthen inspection and monitoring of beauty contests; provide professional guidance in the process of carrying out state management tasks in this field; and establish a database to serve the management of performing arts activities.

"Over the past period, based on state management of performing arts activities, beauty pageants, and modeling competitions, it has been shown that most competitions held in the city have been conducted in compliance with relevant legal regulations," a representative from the Department shared.

Misses Thuy Tien and Ngoc Chau have been involved in notable social activities after winning their titles.

The organizers of beauty pageants also develop content for contestants to participate in activities promoting environmental protection; advertising the city's scenic spots and people to other localities and connecting with the world ; and organizing or encouraging contestants to carry out charitable activities and care for the disadvantaged in society.

Among them, some of the award-winning contestants are exemplary young people who have strived for excellence and actively participated in social activities during their term, creating a positive energy for young people, such as Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien.

Recently, Miss Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau was also honored as an Outstanding Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City.

Titles will be revoked and competition results will be annulled if any violations of the law occur.

In addition, the Department of Culture strictly manages the number and quality of beauty and modeling contests in the area; strengthens coordination in managing large-scale beauty and modeling contests, those with foreign elements, and those related to ethnic affairs, gender equality, and children's issues organized in many localities.

Authorities also rigorously review applications (including a thorough examination of proposals to ensure consistency, conformity with national customs and traditions, appropriateness to age groups and gender, and suitability to local conditions) before advising on whether to approve or disapprove the organization of beauty and model contests.

"We have intensified inspections and monitoring after issuing approval documents, resolutely stopping beauty and model contests, and directing the revocation of titles and awards, and the cancellation of contest results in cases of legal violations," a representative from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture concluded.
