On August 18, a representative of Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) said that it had announced the admission benchmark scores for 9 undergraduate training programs based on high school graduation exam results with dual standards including exam score requirements according to combinations and English proficiency requirements.

Accordingly, the admission scores for the majors range from 18 to 22 points; the benchmark score for Computer Science is the highest (22 points). The two new majors, Intelligent Traffic Engineering and Process and Environmental Engineering (Sustainable Production Process Engineering), both require 19 points for admission.
Successful candidates must have an international English certificate of IELTS academic score of 5.0 or higher or equivalent or an average English score determined from the English score of the high school graduation exam and the average English score of grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12 of high school of 7.5 or higher. Particularly for BCE, candidates must achieve a score of 7.0 or higher.
Candidates with sufficient combined scores to pass the admission but do not meet the English requirements will be invited to take the English entrance exam organized by VGU.
On the same day, the Admissions Council of Thu Dau Mot University also announced the admission scores of 38 training majors based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. The general admission scores for the groups range from 15 to 26.47 points.
This year, at Thu Dau Mot University, Primary Education has the highest admission score of 26.47 points. Next are Psychology, Multimedia Communications (25 points), Law (24 points), etc. The school has 23/38 majors with admission scores above 20 points.
