Russia launched a strong attack on all fronts, entering the Avdiivka industrial zone.

Rybar channel reported that on November 14, the Russian army continued its campaign to encircle the fortified area of Avdiivka in a pincer movement.

In the north , under heavy Russian artillery fire, Kiev forces were forced to retreat from the village of Petrovskoye (Stepovoe). The settlement is now in a gray zone, with Russian units holding a foothold on the eastern outskirts, expanding their control along the railway.

The Russian military also made progress as they cleared Kiev forces from the processing facilities southeast of the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant slag dump. However, the Russians only surrounded the plant and did not directly break through.

Active fighting continues near Stepovoy, west of the railway. The Ukrainians are resisting and have sent units of the 47th Magura Brigade in this direction. Also west of Krasnogorovka, they are trying to gain a foothold on the Avdiivka-Ocheretino highway, but these efforts have not led to any results.

South of the dump, the 110th Ukrainian Mechanized Brigade suffered heavy losses as increasingly dense artillery fire made it difficult for them to hold on and move.

In the south, Russian troops advancing from Yasinovataya have captured 40% of the industrial zone southeast of Avdiivka and are pushing back Ukrainian formations.

The battle was intensifying. The Russian advance in this area was about 150 meters, the situation was getting worse for Kiev forces.

Fierce fighting is taking place southeast of Avdiivka, west of the Yasinovatskaya junction. There, Ukrainian fortified areas are no less firmly established than at the coal plant, but ammunition is running low and losses are mounting.

Russian tanks are actively operating in the industrial zone.

In the downtown area, Russia used heavy bombs to cause maximum damage to the Khimik sub-district, leveling fortified areas of Ukraine.

On the western flank there has not yet been any progress towards Severny and Tonenkoe, but positional successes in the direction of Pervomaisky have already been outlined: the zone of control north of the village has been expanded, however, it is too early to talk about a complete collapse.

Meanwhile, according to MilChronicles, the fighting is gradually moving deeper into the city's administrative boundaries. The Ukrainian army is having increasingly difficult time fighting back.

Orekhov region: Russia counterattacks strongly from Pyatikhatki to Rabotino

According to Rybar, Kiev's armed forces did not give up their efforts to advance towards Zaporizhia, but failed. They launched armored vehicles into suicide attacks, which forced them to bear the brunt of Russian weapons.

The intensity of Ukrainian artillery activity has decreased significantly, Russia is counterattacking.

Russian troops entered the village of Pyatikhatki from the south in the gray zone. This became possible after suppressing enemy fire points on the surrounding heights. It is too early to draw conclusions, controlling a village without capturing the tactical heights will not solve much.

Kiev made several attempts to attack with the 10th Army Corps in the direction of Kopani and the outskirts of Rabotino, but Russia not only repulsed the attacks but also took the initiative, advancing 500 meters towards the forest belt.

Ukraine says Russia lost 4,000 soldiers on eastern front in 2 weeks

Kyiv Independent reported that Ukrainian Army Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi announced on November 14 that in the past two weeks, Russia has lost more than 4,000 soldiers and 500 pieces of equipment on the eastern front in the Kharkov and Donetsk regions.

According to him, the Russian army has been relentlessly attacking Kiev forces around Kupyansk in Kharkiv province, as well as north and south of the ruined city of Bakhmut in Donetsk.

General Syrskyi said Russian forces had also increased their use of attack drones. But despite Russia’s efforts to “seize the initiative” by launching new attacks, Kiev forces “destroyed all Russian plans and efforts.”

"The enemy is losing its ability to attack on a daily basis," Mr. Syrskyi said.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian General Staff said Russia had launched attacks in seven directions along the front line from Zaporizhia's Robotino in the south to Kupyansk in the northeast over the past 24 hours.

About 80 clashes were reported, the report said.

ISW: Ukrainian troops advance to the left bank of the Kherson region and the Verbovoy region

Ukrainska Pravda reported that the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) published a report on November 14 stating that Ukrainian troops advanced to the left bank of the Kherson region and northwest of Verbovoy in the Zaporizhia region.

Specifically, on November 14, Kiev forces continued military operations on the east bank (left) of the Kherson region. Geolocation footage released on November 13 showed that they had advanced to Krynki, 30km northeast of the Kherson region, 2km from the Dnieper River and about 3.6km north of the E-58 highway.

In the western Zaporozhye region, Ukraine also carried out offensive operations on November 14 and confirmed the attack.

Geolocation footage released on November 14 shows Ukrainian troops advancing northwest from Verbove, 10km east of Robotino.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that its forces continued offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol, west of the Zaporizhia region.

Several Russian sources claim that Russian forces repelled enemy attacks near Robotino, Novofedorivka, 15km northeast of Robotino and north and northwest of Verbovoy.

Russia is trying to gain the initiative on the battlefield.

Russian forces may be trying to regain the initiative on the Ukrainian battlefield, with multiple simultaneous offensive operations in the east, ISW reported, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

It remains unclear whether Russian forces can fully regain the initiative as Ukrainian forces continue to put pressure on key areas of the front, military analysts say.

Some Kiev officials noted that the situation along the front line is difficult, but their forces maintain control of the battle space.

These officials' statements about the current pace of Russian operations at the front line are consistent with ISW's assessment of Russian offensive operations, especially in the Kupyansky, Bakhmutsky and Avdiivka directions.

However, according to ISW analysts, Russian forces may have difficulty regaining full initiative on the battlefield as Kiev forces continue their own offensive operations and make tactical gains along the front, especially in the western Zaporizhia region and the left bank of Kherson.

Reuters: Ukraine has secured a foothold in the Dnieper in Kherson

Reuters reported that Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to President Zelensky, said Kiev forces had gained a foothold on the east bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson.

Andriy Yermak's remarks were the first official acknowledgement that Ukrainian troops had been formed on the east bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region, Reuters reported.

"Despite all the difficulties, the Self-Defense Forces have gained a foothold on the left (eastern) bank of the Dnieper... Step by step, they are demilitarizing Crimea. We have gone 70% of the way. And our counteroffensive is developing," Andriy Yermak said.

Mr. Zelensky: Mr. Putin wants positive results on the battlefield

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening speech on November 14 that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to announce the elections in early December, so he will try to show at least some results on the battlefield at this time, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

"The Russian attacks are very fierce, especially in the Donetsk region. We must understand that Putin now has a political goal, because he wants to show at least some tactical victories before announcing his re-election... Russia is now losing soldiers and equipment near Avdiivka faster and on a larger scale, especially near Bakhmut. It is very difficult to counter this onslaught," said President Zelensky.

Russian Su-25 shot down near Avdiivka

Ukrainska Pravda reported that Colonel Alexander Shtupun, head of the Unified Press Center of the Tavria Forces of Ukraine, said on November 14 that in the direction of Avdiivka, Kiev forces shot down another Russian plane.

Accordingly, on November 14, Ukraine destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft, he added that this was the eighth enemy aircraft destroyed in Avdiivka since the start of the intensified offensive, that is, since October 10.

Slovakian government says it will not supply weapons to Kiev

The new Slovak government will not help Kiev supply weapons from its stockpiles, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak told NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, European Pravda reported.

"The head of the Ministry of Defense Kaliniak informed the NATO Secretary General about the suspension of military assistance to Ukraine from the Slovak reserve forces," the Slovak Defense Ministry said. At the same time, Slovakia provides "a range of non-lethal humanitarian, civilian and technical assistance" to Kiev.

Weapons, aid to Kiev

Kiev will receive 25 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks from German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall as part of an order funded by the German government, Kyiv Independent reported.

The German company said the order includes 25 Leopard 1 tanks, five Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles and two training tanks. Deliveries will take place next year, along with training, logistics, spare parts, maintenance and other support services.

In 2024, Rheinmetall said it will also supply Ukraine with 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks on behalf of the Dutch and Danish governments.

According to a November 14 report by the Ukrinform news site, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and German Defense Minister Boris Pistoriu said the EU's plan to supply Ukraine with one million artillery shells within a year cannot be met by March 2024.

Ukraine loses composure over Russian military maneuvers

Polish newspaper Myśl Polska reported that Russian tactics have hindered Kiev's plans in the direction of Zaporizhia.

Specifically: "The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost its composure. They launched the main forces of the 9th Army Corps, consisting of the 33rd and 47th independent mechanized brigades, equipped with Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, into the battle for the village of Robotine, which fell into a trap prepared by the Russians."

Since early June, Kiev forces have been trying to advance in the directions of Zaporizhia, Yuzhnodonetsk and Bakhmut/Artemovsk, attacking with NATO-trained and equipped combat units. However, they have not achieved any significant successes on the front, but have suffered heavy losses.

In that context, Western media increasingly reported that the West was starting to feel tired of the conflict in Ukraine and that support for Mr. Zelensky was waning.

Moreover, US and European officials have discussed the possible consequences of peace talks with Russia, including general outlines of what Kiev might have to give up to reach a deal.
