Urban beautification to celebrate national reunification day

Joining the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Vinh Phuc is actively directing units and localities in the province to urgently do a good job of urban beautification, creating a spacious and brilliant appearance.

As the urban center of the province, since the beginning of April, the work of urban beautification, environmental cleaning, and clearing of traffic safety corridors has been directed by Vinh Yen city to be implemented throughout the city.

According to the plan, the city will focus on reviewing and repairing urban technical infrastructure works such as installing additional drainage panels, lost or damaged manhole covers; repairing and paving sidewalks on some damaged roads; repainting road markings, traffic signs... focusing on central areas of the city, where the welcoming activities take place such as Ho Chi Minh Square; areas around the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, City People's Committee, Provincial Conference Center and traffic intersections of the Provincial Party Committee, Doc Lap, Provincial Gymnasium, Nguyen Trai, Hai Ba Trung, Le Loi streets...

Strengthen the care and trimming of grass and border trees on median strips, sidewalks, flower gardens, and landscapes; clear bushes around lakes and ponds; clear grass on sidewalks, and clean grass at tree roots, flower gardens, and parks.

Check, review, repair and replace damaged lighting equipment, decorative electrical equipment and traffic signals on the roads; strengthen environmental sanitation and waste collection.

Urge contractors to return, clean up, and sanitize construction sites at a number of urban renovation and beautification projects in the city and ongoing projects, including provincial-level projects as investors.

Require investors to be responsible before the City People's Committee if there is any loss of traffic safety or environmental sanitation on roads under construction, the cause of which is determined to be due to construction of works or projects.

Like Vinh Yen city, urban beautification work, decorating streets and central areas with banners, slogans, national flags, and visual propaganda paintings are being actively implemented in Binh Xuyen district.

The streets and central areas seem to be wearing a colorful "new coat", creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among all classes of people towards the national reunification day.

According to the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Binh Xuyen district, along with urban beautification work, the district has issued documents directing communes, towns, and related units to perform well the tasks in managing and regularly maintaining roads managed by the People's Committees of communes and towns, ensuring clean sidewalks, clear ditches, smooth road surfaces, clear traffic safety systems, and road safety corridors that are not encroached upon...

Arrange traffic control forces, organize lane division and timely traffic flow when traffic jams occur on roads or in the area; collect materials, sand, garbage, etc. remaining on the roadway, ensuring traffic safety and aesthetics on roads.

Update activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday to have a plan to temporarily suspend construction of appropriate projects, ensuring that it does not affect the celebration activities taking place in the district.

Inspect and review completed and ongoing construction projects; request relevant units to clear away materials, soil and sand to ensure traffic safety and urban aesthetics.

Organize the clearance of traffic safety corridors, handle violations of urban order and maintain good urban order management during and after the anniversaries, focusing on some hot spots of urban order violations or places where violations frequently occur...

Along with that, do a good job of environmental sanitation, collect waste, launch a general environmental sanitation movement, clean up village roads and alleys, clear bushes, unclog sewers... to create a clean and beautiful landscape environment.

It can be said that, with the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, in almost all localities in the province, urban beautification work along with cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities are being carefully prepared and actively and practically implemented to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

Thereby creating a joyful, exciting atmosphere, a healthy cultural environment for all classes of people during the holiday. At the same time, encourage the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army in the province to promote the spirit of patriotism, the will of self-reliance, the strength of great national unity, and compete to successfully complete the goals and tasks of socio-economic development.
