Petrovietnam Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung received and worked with leaders of SCG Group (Thailand)
Attending the reception were representatives of SCG and Long Son Petrochemical Company Limited (LSP). On the Petrovietnam side, there were Board Member Bui Minh Tien; Deputy General Director Le Xuan Huyen; leaders of professional departments, leaders of member units of the Group: PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ).
Overview of the reception.
SCG is a corporation operating in the fields of cement and construction materials, packaging production, and petrochemical products. Currently, SCG has 27 member companies in Vietnam with 15,500 employees, with a total investment in Vietnam of more than 7 billion USD. In particular, the LSP Petrochemical Complex Project is the first integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam. The complex includes a world- class olefins plant, a world-class polyolefin technology plant, a specialized port - tank cluster and a central utility plant with a scale of 464 hectares, with a total investment of more than 5 billion USD.
At the meeting, SCG Chairman and CEO Thammasak Sethaudom informed Petrovietnam leaders about the status of the Long Son Project and the investment expansion plan. Accordingly, SCG leaders expressed their hope that Petrovietnam and its member units will continue to research and discuss cooperation opportunities between the two sides as well as cooperation in the Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project in the near future.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung said that with the experience of both Groups, Petrovietnam and SCG can cooperate in research, sharing information and experience related to the petrochemical sector. At the same time, with the advantages, potential, experience and capacity of the Group, its member units, especially those operating in Vung Tau, Petrovietnam is ready to cooperate with SCG in providing raw materials and fuel for operations, technical services for maintenance, repair and expansion investment of the Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project.
Petrovietnam Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung suggested that the Group's member units continue to actively discuss and propose cooperation plans and options in the coming time with SCG and at the Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project, while further promoting cooperation between the two Groups in energy and green transformation projects.
