The delegation included: Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung; Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai.

During nearly 60 years of revolutionary activities, with 26 consecutive years in the position of First Secretary and General Secretary of the Party Central Committee from 1960 to 1986 - a period of decisive nature for the fate of the nation, comrade Le Duan, together with the Politburo and the Party Central Committee, outlined and comprehensively led the major strategic tasks of the Vietnamese revolution, bringing the cause of national liberation to complete victory, firmly stepping on the path of building socialism.
Comrade Le Duan was the one who proposed and built many sharp and creative strategic lines, especially in directing the revolution in the South, notably with the "Outline of the Southern Revolution" - a milestone theoretical document, serving as the basis for many important resolutions of the Party later.
Under his direct leadership, our entire Party, people and army overcame countless sacrifices and hardships to achieve the Great Victory in the spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.

Signing the golden book of memories, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his emotion at the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Duan - a steadfast communist soldier, an outstanding leader of the Vietnamese revolution, an outstanding student, an excellent successor to the glorious revolutionary career of the great President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding son of his homeland Quang Tri.
"On the occasion of the 118th anniversary of the comrade's birth (April 7, 1907 - April 7, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), we have a deeper understanding of the vision, courage, talented and creative leadership, and lifelong dedication and sacrifice of General Secretary Le Duan for the Party and the nation," the National Assembly Chairman wrote.
* Earlier, on the morning of April 28, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs and compatriots who sacrificed their lives at the special national relic of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

With respect, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions, heroic sacrifices and steadfastness of the heroic martyrs, the children from all over the beloved Vietnam and Quang Tri province who devoted their youth, blood and bones for the independence, freedom of the country and the happiness of the people.
During the resistance war against the US to save the country, Quang Tri Citadel recorded in the history of the nation a shining milestone of revolutionary heroism through the heroic and resilient fight for 81 days and nights (from June 28 to September 16, 1972) to protect Quang Tri town and Quang Tri Citadel of our army and people, contributing significantly to the victory at the Paris Conference, creating momentum for the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South, unifying the country. Their blood was mixed into the soil for the country to have an independent day, the people to be free and happy.
* On the morning of April 28, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dao Thi Vui, 102 years old, in Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province. Kindly inquiring about her health, the National Assembly Chairman wished her a long life, a warm and happy life with her children and grandchildren, and continued to educate her children and grandchildren in revolutionary and patriotic traditions./.
